    This is brilliant....your video presentations and information are the best on the internet...I love this keyboard .. I think they're rare in the UK where I am, so these videos are really useful and helpful for someone like me that is in a minority of owning this brilliant keyboard... There's nothing worse than a clicking key...your presentation to remedy this is brilliant....well done, and keep the fabulous videos coming...
    Regards .....John

    Many of the keys on my AKX10 are now clicking badly. I am actually very apprehensive about dismantling the entire keyboard and I don't think I would attempt it without having seen your brilliant guide.
    Thank you very much.

    Thank you for posting this. I've had a couple of keys that are starting to do the same on my AKX10 as well, but was worried about taking the keybed apart as I was not sure how many corners they may have cut to bring the price for this keyboard as low as it is. I've always enjoyed the feel of this keybed however as I really like the torque of the springs (not the same for everyone), just a personal preference and I'm not horribly fond of the hammer action keys that a lot of keyboards come with these days. I have another project I'm working on currently restoring an older Ensoniq to work in tandem with my Medeli so I will probably put the Medeli on the bench after seeing this and lubricate the keybed as well. Again, thank you for another great video on this amazing keyboard.

    Thanks for opening. the space was quite small, let alone the electronics, and the resonances were well controlled with cushions.

    Great video - thanx ! Seeing the inside made me wonder if MEDELI would make an Expander version of this keyboard, all the buttons etc is nicely centered above the electronics, you could probably cut of speakers and keyboard with a hacksaw and make an expander like the old Technics SM AC-1200, Roland RA-90, RA-95, RA-800 etc. I have had a lot of those midi-expanders, now a days only Ketron makes expanders and they cost an arm and a leg. A new MEDELI AEX10 Arranger midi Expander Pro series digital workstation is "all I want for Christmas" 🙂

    Hi, Thank you for this very interesting video.
    I have on my Medeli AKX10 the battery of the mainboard which is completely discharged. The keyboard does not keep the time , date and hour after switching off and on again. I wish I could change that battery myself. As you opened your keyboard and before I do the same, could you tell me if this battery is soldered or just inserted in its orange housing, under the metal tab, as can be seen on your video? It would be very kind of you to answer me. Have a good day. Philip

      @pcpanikMusik  Před rokem +1

      Your AK-X10 should still be under warranty. The battery should not be empty after 1 year. I would therefore ask the seller so that he can complain about the keyboard and have it repaired by Medeli.

    • @pcpanikMusik
      @pcpanikMusik  Před rokem

      I don‘t think so. You would have to mill openings in the case and also need a suitable keyboard with graphite conductors. In addition, it is not clear to me whether the dante zen has a proprietary firmware?

      Have a look at 5:05. Unscrew the four screws and detach the two cables from the board underneath.
      Then vice versa.

    Hello. I see you have done a number of videos on the Medeli AKX10 Arranger keyboard. I had a question if you possibly know. I was reviewing the Medeli Hong Kong website and in the About section under Timeline it shows the AKX10 was released by 2013. So this is actually a 10 year old keyboard. Do you know if this is accurate or am I missing something?

    • @pcpanikMusik
      @pcpanikMusik  Před rokem

      Must be a mistake in their description. As far as I know, the keyboard came onto the market 2021. First in asia as the A2000. In europe a little later as the akx10.

  • @olivierchanteurfrancais2764

    I had the same problem and I did like you but put thick grease between the keys

    • @pcpanikMusik
      @pcpanikMusik  Před 2 lety

      I didn't want to use thick grease because it collects quite a lot of dust and maybe hardens with the time.
      At an earlier time I had sent my MZ-X500 to Casio for servicing. They also re-greased everything. But that only helped for 3 months. After that, the grease was pushed aside and the plastic rubbed together again.
      Of course I don't know how effective this PTFE lubricant is and how long it lasts, but that's what we have to find out now. For my insignificant feeling, the playing feel has definitely improved across the entire keyboard.

    Hello,
    I had the same problem with my Casio MZ-X500 keyboard. I recently re-greased all the keys and installed additional damping felt. I'll upload a video about it soon.
    Your method is quick and easy. I don't think it will last long before it rattles again. The PTFE spray is simply too thin and will mostly run out of the keys again.
    Also, old grease can gummy, so it's better to remove the old grease first before applying new grease. It would be great if you could share how long your method took to eliminate the chatter.
    Hallo,
    ich hatte das gleiche Problem mit meinem Casio MZ-X500 Keyboard. Neulich habe ich alle Tasten neu gefettet und zusätzlich Dämpfungsfilz verbaut. Ich werde demnächst ein Video darüber hochladen.
    Deine Methode ist schnell und einfach. Ich glaube nicht, dass es lange hält, bis es wieder klappert. Das PTFE Spray ist einfach zu dünnflüssig und wird größtenteils wieder aus den Tasten laufen.
    Auch kann altes Fett verharzen, weshalb es besser ist zuerst das alte Fett zu entfernen, bevor man neues Fett aufträgt. Es wäre toll, wenn Du mitteilen könntest, wie lange deine Methode das Klappern beseitigt hat.

    • @pcpanikMusik
      @pcpanikMusik  Před 2 lety

      Wir werden sehen, wie lange das hält. Bin da aber ganz zuversichtlich, da das PTFE gut haftet. Fett hingegen schiebt sich beiseite und ist ein Dreck-Magnet. Ich hatte mein MZ-X damals zu Casio eingesendet, wegen der quietschenden Tasten. Es wurde komplett neu gefettet. Das hat nur 3 Monate gehalten.
      Ich werde berichten.

      At least it's 1.1. Only 4-Pins. Maybe 2.0. Nothing mentioned in the specs. Because it supports devices up to 256 I would guess 2.0. But to be sure you may want to ask Medeli www.medeli.com.hk/contact-us
