- We didn't have running water due to the winter storm here in Texas, so my daughter's super curly hair ended up being more dry and tangled than usual. This wash day routine was pretty intense! But I wanted to share some of my tips for detangling curly hair without a bunch of tears!

@zzthezebra hey gurl, use low amount of shampoo and condition well, dry your hair with shirt, brush it while WET ONLY, scrunch and put in braid to sleep or air dry. If u have money oil ur hair every week (Castor oil, shea oil, coconut oil, etc)

As a tender headed tenderoni 😂😂 I endorse the tangle tamer brush. You do an excellent job with the comb but that tangle tamer really gets my tangles under control without snatching me bald while using it. Ziya’s hair is looking so healthy. Great job, mom!

Just wanted to share “Knot on my watch” by Aunt Jackie (no minerals or petroleum) is an instant detangler that seems like God put his own ingredients in it. I have curly hair and when I put this in my hair, literally seconds in the shower and I’m already combing through with no pull on my head. No more migraines from pulling. Ziya’s hair is so long 😍🙏🏽

Ziya’s hair is just like mine just mine is longer since I am older, l love how her mom takes such precautions to make sure Ziya is in the least amount of pain. When she is older she will really appreciate her mom care.

Ziya is so cute! 😍 Her hair has grown so much! I feel you on not wanting to detangle the hair after it’s wet. I used to feel the same way... that it would make it worse. Now, I actually think the opposite. I usually shampoo my hair first, then wait until I have the conditioner in my hair to detangle it. It will seem like it’s getting worse until you get the conditioner in. Just a suggestion! It may prevent uneven strands because it is the WORST trying to detangle dry hair. 🥴

Just a tip Raven.. Carol's daughter doesn't always the best ingredients so if you're looking for a pre poo that's safe for Ziya's hair, Just for me has one with really good ingredients and has really great slip! and also a shampoo and conditioner to follow
Just for me i use on my own hair lol or African pride pre poo both are great!!
I use that Just for Me pre-poo on my own hair, and I kept wondering why she didn't just use a pre-poo. There are several on the market these days.

My daughter Shentearia's hair is the same texture as Ziya's, and she very tender-headed. She'll be 23 years old this year and making me a Grandma, and she's still tender-headed. I'm hoping for a grandson so he doesn't have to experience being tender-headed (even though there's a possibility if she does have a girl that she may not be tender-headed).

Sis curly hair will tangle & mat in a New York Minute! I feel like the Before & I didn't have the typical weather crisis that made it's way to Texas. I would probably lose more hair due to the situation. I didn't realize that Ziya's hair is so long already, its beautiful & well worth the work. You handled the crisis like a real soldier.
