On one hand, this feels VERY Old West... On the other hand, I can't help but imagine adventurers in a semi-grounded fantasy world, looking for dungeons to raid for coin and loot, knowing full well that they're just "flesh and bone", not "heroes" and that they're not all that likely to make it home alive.
