- Where can you find the best campground near Atlanta, Georgia? On this weekend adventure we walk the campground trail with our grandkids and see some great views of the lake and the mountain. We get a fantastic site with a beautiful view of the lake and the mountain. This park also has a great hike that will take you to the top of the Stone Mountain and a visitor center and education building with lots of history about the park, which is great for those #fulltimerv families that do homeschooling. The campground at Stone Mountain borders Stone Mountain Lake and has one of the best play by day and glow by night pumpkin festivals that any #fulltimervliving family would want to visit. We use to tent camp when our kiddos were young.

Absolutely gorgeous scenery!! That view of the mountain from the riverside looked so peaceful and quiet!! I would have loved to ride that cart up to the top and back.
The cable car ride provides great views above the mountain.

We love Stone Mountain! Last time we were there we were not rving yet. Looks so awesome! we'll have to take the rig up there some time!
There is a lot to do and the lake sites are great!
Ha ha ha we always say here that Atlanta is an hour away from Atlanta lol. You really have to plan the time right to avoid the beast of the traffic around here. And 285 can be a parking lot. But the views of the lake near your camp area was really nice and peaceful.
We actually took 285 to 75 north home, but there was no back up on 285 this day. In our next video we hike to the top of that mountain!

Great view from your site! I wouldn’t have even thought to check the fridge! How many time would you say that you had something fall/break?
It has happened a couple of times, so now we are always making sure to open the fridge doors slowly after a move.
Only natural lakes in Georgia are in the wetlands
