- Hi friends! Sooooo yeah, today’s tutorial is a flat out hot mess haha. I had such high hopes for putting this together but then I ran into issues after filiming where the first screen recorder I used didn’t record some things so I had to refilm portions…then when I refilmed I had to find a new screen recording service and it put a watermark on those segments anddddd didn’t record the cursor. LOL. Ugh. But I tried! I still hope you’re able to learn a lot from this tutorial and I’m happy to answer questions that you may have along the way!

Completely understandable to not giving away all your small business information, I remember Baylee Jae a few years ago shared where she got her pins from and everyone started using the same company, and then Baylee found that the quality of the product went down since so many people were using it and like you said were selling out. It’s good to know you’re limit on sharing information and never feel like it’s gatekeeping at all, especially since this is YOUR business!! ✨
Yes!! Its sometimes hard to figure out what to share and what not to share because you want to be helpful but you also put a lot of time and research into finding materials yourself 🩷🩷

I use the same photo paper, but mine is 150gsm and I laminate mine with a thin laminate, make s them last longer.
Hi, thank you for sharing ^^ I hope to make some magnetic bookmarks next year myself~ I thought people used the type of magnet sheets that can be cut with scissors to shape, but that sure would add an extra step~
I'm curious - how often do you change the blade in your Silhouette? I'm procrastination on swapping mine, even though I see the cut starting to look a bit jaggy :P

T?he photo paper you have in your Amazon store is sized at 8 x 10 and it is satin but when you order the 8.5 x 11 is shows as glossy. Did you set your paper size in silhouette for that size, or did you have the 8 x 11 paper?
The 8x10 is what I use for art prints, not magnetic bookmarks. When printing you’d change the paper size to make sure it’s set to 8x10 ☺️
Thanks for the video - Super excited to try these out. On the hunt for magnets that are strong enough, but don't add a bunch of bulk. About how many pages would be expected to be able to go between the magnets and still stick well enough?

Not sure if you are aware - but if you don't have a borderless printer you can adjust the registration inset marks using the "advance options to get more room on your page. You can change the left, top and right inset, but leave the bottom at 625.

How long did it take you to figure out the best way to use, and the appropriate settings for, the Cameos? I don't think I would have been able to tolerate all the trial and error needed. Thanks for sharing!
When I first got a cameo it took me I think three days of trial and error and being on chat support with a silhouette cameo support agent to help me. It was hard in the beginning!
Just curious, if you’ve ever done just the off set and welded the offset and image vs using the trace and offset function? I was very fascinated watching your technique in silhouette studio, just was curious if the “trace” was necessary as I make stickers and only use the offset function for my cut lines. 😊
No I haven’t! My program won’t offset unless there’s a trace line so I always do that first ☺️

Great video. Most of the magnetic bookmark videos I've watched the printed page is laminated before cutting. I noticed you did not do that. Is this because of the photo paper you used?
No, I just don’t like laminated magnetic bookmarks personally so I don’t laminate mine ☺️
