If you trade on a tick chart 2000-4000 or a 3/5 minute, put your macd settings fast 3, slow 5, and smooth 3 along with the 8 and 20 emas. Scalp it and if you understand price action you will make good money 🤑

With the stochastic set your way and the MACD set your way I was able to see a divergence in higher highs on tesla and lower highs on Mom and took my profit(call), to then buy a put and ride it down to take more profit. Great. Thanks.

Definitely works, a great objective way to exit market. You can easily buy a macd divergence indicator if you find it hard to spot divergence, as I do.

This analysis is correct and evident only on a graph from the past. If you're live, you can't figure out what situation you're in. It is much more practical to enter when the mobile environments are in a relatively flat and close area when a green power bar appears that covers the red one from before. Wait between 3-5 green bars and exit when red turns green. In all the situations presented in this clip, this can be seen. Perfect example: the chart from min. 7.30. MACD is useless live. It's just a personal opinion. , checked.
Thank you for your input. I never use the MACD for timing my entries, for that I use my Cycle Indicator which will show me where to enter in real time on the exact bar. Candlestick patterns can be good for that too, but in my experience they don't show up on all the good entries.

Hi what a good video I was wondering would the MACD strategy U explained, would that work well using the 20 and the 40 SMA on the charts I've been using though s for quite sometime now to buy or sell pullbacks in the trends
I've never tried those specific settings, but if you've been using them for some time and they're working for you, then don't mess with success!

Not sure what you're asking specifically, but yes, MT4 has the MACD indicator you can use in this same way.
@@TopDogTrading the MACD on MT4 has not got the MACD line only the 9 period MA.

What are the two moving averages lines in the main chart?
The 12 ema and the 26 ema.
Barry, is stochastics indicator able to be used like MACD to measure the acceleration or deceleration of momentum? If so, how do you read the indicator to identify it?
Thanks for asking. The Stochastic indicator has a very different formula and therefore must be traded in a different way than MACD
@@TopDogTrading Could you kindly explain what's the main concern for you when tweaking the stochastic indicator parameter? How do you choose the relative value between %K, %D, and %K smoothing?
Good revision but sorry nothing new. Looks similar to the divergence strategy applicable to other indicators. Yes- MACD divergences have more accuracy and less false signals

What is the timeframe on this.
This approach can work on any timeframe, but the chart I used to demonstrate in this video is a daily chart.
