William and Catherine’s ceremony was absolutely beautiful and there’s no denying it, but this just had something else. Really almost seems adequate to describe it as magical.
Absolutely adequate in every manner. Princess Diana is a treasure a million times over. I really never saw all the smiles before from her and her father on this ride here I see she is looking so happy and so loved already by us, the people.

I remember that day. She had just turned 20 when she married Prince Charles. I had just turned 15 that year. It was a beautiful wedding. I could not believe that train on her gown; a 25 foot long train? I remember telling my mother "don't want a train that long, Mom". I developed an admiration for Diana as the years went by during her marriage to Prince Charles. I still have that admiration for her; it still shines through especially with Prince William and his charity work. He's his mother's son.
Apparently the train was Diana's idea. I saw a tv interview with the Emmanuels where they said that when discussing possible designs with Diana, that Diana commented that she'd read somewhere that the longest royal bride's train previously was Princess Alexandra at 19 feet and went "Right, it's got to be longer than that!" The Emmanuels tried to dissuade her but Diana had her mind made up. I don't know why - perhaps she was nervous and overdid it?

Even after all these years, long after their deaths, and Diana is still the focal point of this video, I still admire her father, the Earl Spencer. He'd had a debilitating stroke, yet was determined to walk his little girl down that long aisle at her wedding unassisted.
Earl Spencer(Princess Diana's father) showed true courage and had the inner strength to escort his youngest daughter down the aisle unassisted. John Earl Spencer earned my utmost respect that day.

I can’t help but love the royals not so much now that the Queen is gone. And I never loved to see anyone but Diana. I watched with wide eyes at her beauty and Grace. The ride to the wedding and her getting out and seeing that dress! Every little girl wanted to be her in every country. I can remember what a big deal it was and I can’t remember if I saw it in the afternoon or not cuz at that time kindergarten was half days either way in love. I watched everything on tv about read about her you name it. And I still do to be honest. The day she passed I cried and have never felt right about it and how horrible it was. Oh and seriously I get the chills just listening to this crowd imagine how this young woman felt. 😮

I remember getting up really early (4 am! which is really difficult for me since I'm a night owl) with my mom to watch it live on TV. Still remember Jane Pauley's commentary. And then doing it all over again for Kate and William's wedding. It's becoming a family tradition (waking up at some unGodly hour to see a royal wedding!). I think Americans love it more than the Brits.
Well, the ungodly hour is only ungodly to us Yanks. We're five hours behind England - over there it was 11 a.m. when the wedding festivities started. I remember getting up early for it too!
Yeah, I"m aware of the time difference. My dad laughed at us saying we could watch the recorded version shown later on but my mom and I insisted on watching it live.

I agree. The video quality is good and we can see how pretty she was. Some people don't like that dress, but I think it looked so regal on her and for sure created a new fashion in weddings all around the world. It's also clear how unfit Charles was to make her happy. His face expression tells how he was not excited at all with that union. Princess Mary and Prince Frederik wedding in Sueden was way different.

That is reserved for women born in royal family unless monarch grants that honour and she did not grant that to Diana or in fact, Camilla, Catherine or Rachel.
