- Ruben Neves' six year stay at Wolves has come to an end, as he joins Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal. Before his departure he sent an open letter to Wolves fans, thanking them for welcoming his family to the area, for making Wolverhampton his home and for their support during the six years we've shared together.

I've been critical of your departure to play for mega money in Saudi. I still am. However, this farewell speech touched me as I am sure it has touched thousands of Wolves followers not only in this country, but of course globally too. I could see genuine sadness in your departure. You have been outstanding for this football club and I thank you for that. I wish you and your family all the best in your footballing endeavours, wherever it may lead you. Who knows, maybe one day you will return to the fold.

My Favourite football player ever! So glad I had the chance to meet him at wolves. He was so happy to sign my number 8 Neves shirt, which I now hold as a prize possession. He was such a nice guy to meet. AND on the pitch Ruben creates MAGIC! Something from nothing. He amazes you when you watch him. His passing and goals are world class. I'm so gutted he is leaving wolves but he will always be welcome back! He is a hero at wolves just like Steve Bull is!

Wow what a fantastic player and a truly humbling speech. I can't ever remember watching a video like this by a player who was leaving Wolves. No heirs or graces but a truly down to earth person by the looks of it. This is the calibre of player Wolves need. Everyone working to together. I was working as a steward in the Executive entrance of Billy Wright stand during the Derby match. I was told by a Wolves staff member after the game about a unbelievable goal scored by Ruben that he had witnessed. I went home after my shift and watched it on tv.
