“Snowflake” features lead vocals from her teenage son Albert McIntosh (“Bertie”), and his dove-like voice is reminiscent of his mother’s in his tone, enunciation, and softness; it is a lovely way to start the record. It creates a conversation with mother and son and also with the earth and us, since the song suggests we are of the earth, yet “ice and dust and light”; we are at once flesh and blood, yet ethereal, unknowable. The haunting piano that flutters around the piece creates an emotional fragility, the “midnight of Christmas” McIntosh sings of. “The world is so loud,” Bush sings, so she sets about creating a place of stillness for us to travel to and be transported.

Just one of the most touching, beautiful, honest, faultless pieces of musical art that I have shared this life with, Thank you KB for sharing your soul with the world.

Only Kate Bush could write and compose a song about snowflakes and make it the most deeply moving and painfully simple thing you've ever heard . . .

I am so happy God allowed artists like Kate Bush in this otherwise commercial world....I dont feel guilty listening to this un-natural, high level of beauty...only God can create this through humans.......it's like a small sight of the heaven that awaits us....Amen, Thank you Lord, thank you Christ Jesus.

Although I don't condone this kind of content being shared on youtube, I already paid for this album so I'll make use of it as my player is occupied by my son atm... credits to Kate Bush

"Keep falling, I'll find you." ??? After 3 years of listening to this song, I finally get it. We all need to fall in some way. in love, or in some way tragic. .

This is one of my favourite pieces of the "Snow album". Snow is very familiar to me, `cos I`m from Finland. That feeling of the song is so real.

Kate Bush is the best female artist in the music history. IT seems to be she is from another galaxie. She is still a beautiful godess. Love Kate since Babooshka. At this time I was 10 years old.

When Bertie is talking in the song, you can hear in his voice that he's a sensitive, delicate young man.

It's so touching to hear Kate singing with her son. This song always makes me cry. It has such a beautiful mood of winter which is my favourite season. "50 words for snow" is one of Kate's best albums.

La note de Randy Meisner dans " Take it to the Limit" m'a toujours donné le frisson.
