The hinge design is awesome. My main reservation is that this is just something else to carry around every day when I could just chuck my airpods, keys and phone in my pocket and a portable battery, mouse and USB cable in my slim laptop bag

I feel your sentiment. I guess the thing is when all the objects come in one place and organised u have the convenience of all in the same place/space and that space is the compromise. Ive been planning to get this for a while and for the reason you mentioned im still holding back. The usage is great, the carry around in everyday bag is a little bit extra it seems.

A great feature for a v2 would be if they could integrate a USB-C dock into the lid, something basic like a couple of ports and a HDMI out or something.
Also needs to have room to QI charge two devices in a v2

However, I do have a question, does the nest wireless charger HAVE to be plugged in to charge your wireless devices or does it hold a charge? If it HAS to be plugged in to charge your device, is it really considered a wireless charger?
