My granfather had the "in between" model an MF 35 (Coventry built) with the 4 cylinder Standard diesel engine. Great tractor! Another relative had a slightly later 3 cylinder Perkins diesel powered MF 35x.
good day. I'm from Ont. Canada them massey 35 were really a good little tractor especially the 35. the gray one had 4cyl. the red one 3 cyl. I heard the 3 was alot better motor. what is on the mold board of the red one Thanks. we had a414 diesel inthe 70's.
Hi no not yet will be ploughing in the next couple of years here on the farm though ive now bought a ransomes robin plough to go behind my super dexta which i am in the middle if restoring now, i am now at the point of pressure washing and getting it ready to paint so there should be a trio of restored tractors ploughing by then :) and weve got a 3 furrow massey ferguson plough to go behind the 35x or the grey gold :)
That Mirror bracket on the 35X - Heh ! my old 35 from Farmech - so you have it now? Look after it - but for goodness sake - put a Decent Ferguson plough behind - the 2F-794 or 3F-793. - and then let 'er go - point in the right direction and pull on that chrom lever on the RHS, no holding back. Did us proud - dont let me down - or the 35(X) ... Oh - and get rid of that BLACK exhaust - looks like a cheapo import - be PROUD of her heritage and fly the white exhaust..... thanks for posting
+Timtrophiehunter Between 1956 and 1958 Ferguson produced the FE-35, painted grey and gold. Then, when it became Massey Ferguson they were rebadged and painted red and grey. One annoying thing - the dealers sometimes painted the g/g tractors red to make then look more 'modern', so our FE-35 is red but some of the grey/gold paint is showing through now, under all the rust of course!
+SMcG guy i actually have a 58 ferguson fe35 that is the fyrst red and gray one but still an old badge tractor like the gray and gold one they came for few months before becoming massey ferguson red and gray with different badge

Why do you paint an regular mf 35, gold bird's color when it isn't a gold bird ??
what are you talking about you clearly do not know anything about these tractors this is a genuine 1956 grey gold ferguson 35
