TMS utilizes pulses of magnetic energy, similar to those produced by a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machine, to stimulate nerve cells in the areas of the brain known to control mood. Do patients still need medications after long course of tms?

Great questions! With over 50,000 treatments performed, we have a 78% response rate for patients suffering with depression, and of that, 33% of patients achieved full remission after 30 sessions. So some patients are able to be completely off medication after a full TMS treatment course.
