I bet your grandparents love having your children around. I spent a lot of time with one of my grandmothers; she lived to be 94 and I loved her dearly. Thank you for taking us along; all around the beautiful surroundings and land that is so lush and green. You are truly blessed!!
My grandmother lived to be 93 and she was my best friend. She lived with my family after my grandfather passed away and she took care of me while my mother worked in a sewing factory.

It likely appears that way. But people are just as busy up here if not more so than we are in Florida. I film where we’re on vacation.. so it’s not like actual living here long term. We love Florida. I don’t like the cold / dreary Ohio winters. That’s part of why we moved to Florida ☺️
I enjoy seeing the children playing outside, running with bare feet and having fun! No cell phones or I pads.... Reminds me of my childhood and spending time with grandparents.
5 of my 8 adult kids with their kids are at Anna Maria Island this week.They think it'd be to hot to live in Florida full time😂.But they've been having fun in the ocean. I think you need to buy some land and start a homestead so Oaklyn can have animals 😂!Enjoying your long vacation so much!! Thanks for sharing 😊❤

My dad and I drove through Sugarcreek on the way up to Cuyahoga Falls OH. It's Amish country there. We went in this one fabric store. It had a game section, and a sign said: "No Wi-Fi needed". I got a good chuckle. Also, the world's largest Cuckoo clock is there. And the movie: "Finding Love in Sugarcreek (OH)" takes place there, it's based on the book.
This series is making me want to go back to Amish country! I only live about 90 minutes away but don't get to visit too often. The last time was last Fall.
Oh Lynette! To see you in Ohio is so lovely! I would be there all the time if I could. My nephew lives above Walnut Creek Cheese near the Orchard! My sister and I saw your sweet mother at the cafe above Walnut Creek Cheese. We always have to stop there on the way out when returning home. I buy a lot of their food.the bbq sauce especially. It’s our hope to one run into you out and about there! I’m not sure when I will get to go up but my sister is there quite often now that he lives there! I am loving these Ohio videos so much!

My favorite videos are when you visit Holmes County so these several of you while you’re staying here in Ohio are such a joy to watch. I hope this will become an annual thing. It looks like the kids are loving the country life. So glad they can experience it and have these memories. So many of the places you go are so familiar. I can’t wait to get up to Holmes County again.

Hey! It’s is pretty. At least in the summer and fall. 😉. I don’t really miss it though. I enjoy coming here for visits and for this summer period. But I am ready to be back at ‘home’
I feel very connected with this land. I've grown up in central OH, and have been here my entire life.
Your parents house is beautiful, it looks so pristine outside with the flowers and freshly mowed grass ! Kids love farms it is so exciting for them ! ❤️
Lynette, could you speak to how Mennonite are taught to (or collectively prioritize) such beautiful home care and lawn/landscape care? They are so masterful at it. I am intrigued and would love to know. ❤
I guess maybe it’s in our heritage / genes. If you visit our ancestors in Switzerland/ Germany you’ll see similar things/ work ethics etc. this isn’t to brag. It’s just how our make up is I guess. We care about our places / work hard etc.

The beginning of this video 🤩 I couldn't look away. So beautiful and beautifully made.
That cinnamon toast bread is so good. We were in Missouri around christmas time and had the opportunity to stop at 2 different stores that had all of these products. I was like a kid in a candy store. Everything was priced so good as well. I am just disappointed we don't have any in SD where I live. I would definitely be a weekly shopper at one if we did.
We are also planning on taking a trip to Colorado Springs in a few days.

Beautiful scenery in Holmes County, Lynette. We go out to Amish County in Adam’s County, Ohio. We love the baked goods and all the various things they have to offer. I love riding through the Amish community because it is so peaceful. I am so glad to see you enjoying the family there. Your grandparents seem to be doing okay. Lovely seeing your family.

Because we wanted to 😃 We didn’t live in this area prior to moving. Yes, The summers are nice. But the winters are very drab/ wet/ cold and miserable. For about 6 or more months out of the year. I very much dislike the cold. And the lack of sunshine in the winter is really depressing. I think people forget that because they only see my summer videos of Ohio. 🥴
I don’t love Florida summers. But I’ll deal with them if I don’t have to live up north in the cold and can enjoy our beautiful winters in Florida.

Not really - I miss the nice summers. But I wouldn’t trade Florida winters for Ohio ones 😖 🤪. I didn’t grow up in Holmes co anyway - so it’s not where my memories of Ohio were made if that makes sense. I don’t really have close friends here. So I miss my FL peeps.

Lynnette, this is the 1st time ive seen your videos. We live in Xenia Ohio. We went up that way a few years ago. We stopped at a farm that gave tours of the house and in the barn they have a gift store. We purchased picture frames from there that the Amish had made (it looks like old wood) would you happen to know the name of this farm? Would love to get some more picture frames.
Want to go visit that area so bad, we go to Shipshewana few times a year. That broom at your grandparents is the best broom ever. I buy my brooms, dusters and microfiber clothes at Yoders in shipshewana.
