    something that i really love about swtor and that just vibes with me is the entire atmosphere, the locations, the music and sounds. the game actually feels like star wars. just hanging around the hub talking to people and having that cantina music on the side...it just feels cozy, like home...
    and while disney is slowly killing star wars on a movie and tv show, whenever i log into swtor, it just feels like you re coming back home

      @@raulaguirre883 7.0 update actually fixed the roleplay problem that came with Eternal Throne expansion. Before that players had to start with 1 lightsaber build and then in your 30-40 level you were able to specialized in sentinel jedi(dual wield lightsabers) or just a normal knight of the republic(1 wield lightsaber). 7.0 update actually fixed lots of roleplay issues as well. The only issue about it class and origin story stuff. Knight origin doesn't suits with Jedi Sage and vice versa. Sages are more focused on force abilities while knights are focused on lightsaber combat.

    Endgame for SWTOR has a lot of options. Along with raiding, there is PVP, battlegrounds arena, PVP flight-sim, different home bases.
    Some of the more interesting parts for crafting is that crafting materials are tied to account. One character harvests, other characters can of the same account can use those materials without having to move them over to those characters.
    Along with seasonal events, the events are rotated weekly.

    Swtor has a place in my top 5 games.. mostly due to the design and true likeness of the Star Wars design. I played at launch taking a break from a boring Cata WoW expansion falling in love with the amount of storyline and exploring available. I like many others return or a blast of game play resulting subbing for a month and then moving on..

  • @FeaturingRob
    @FeaturingRob Před rokem +8

    I only became a gamer in 2019, rather late in life, and the first game I downloaded was SWTOR. I am usually on it once a day,
    As a lifelong Star Wars fan ( I was 5 when Episode IV - A New Hope came out in 1977...so, do the math on that one!), SWTOR is my chance to wrap myself in the stories and be the characters having the adventures. I have 42 toons across 3 servers (20 on SS, 20 on SF, 2 on DM), some I rarely touch, and some I use all the time. Depends upon my mood, if I have a guild for a toon, and how invested in the story I am for the toon...I just wrapped up the base game storyline on my most recent Lightning Sorcerer, now I am doing a little more leveling before doing the expansions.
    You are right about being able to have a life and not worry about SWTOR...
    Now if they could get the ridiculous inflation under control...
    P.S. - That is an INSANE amount of Cartel Coins, dude! Almost $2,500 worth if you had bought them (14,000CC x $99.00) CRAAAAAAZZZYYY!!! Have fun!!!😊

Getting it together took me a year and a half of grinding dailies for the credits to buy a NiM run of the ops and I only managed to get the exact replica chest peice that completely matches the Dread Masters because my girlfriend at the time had a character with all of the right crafting skills to make it, as making it is the only option, all the other versions of it that are easy to get are slightly different.

    Ihave stared Swotor back in December of 2011 and have a 12 year on and off relationship with it. Still love it somewhat and have gotten the Datacron Master achievement only last year by getting the Endurace Dtatacron on Makeb. )))
    The Class Stories were a blast especailly for the Chiss part of my Legacy: The Imp Sniper Lady and her brother the Jedi Knight , both were tied to my PvP and Biochem trade since the first time I got into that.
    I've returned a year ago to last Halloween thing and at least 3-4 years of story content.
    As for now, I am unable to even Sub, because my location in Big Bad Mother Russia is considered me a Persona non Grata for International Fund transfers...
    Now there is a costly way to get in you know the old Tradeway Market )))
    P.S.: But hey we ar not that apset of fings gion je olden way an I'll wen af ave the time to finish ma bild on main Chiss Ladi the Imp Agent once more.
    Hope the fixed Malgus and drove the bugs out from his final battle were a lot of folk just Fell to thier Dets over and over again. )))

    I would probably also make swtor my main mmo if it had proper support from EA/ Bioware, but it seems like it's the red headed step child of the company. It's a single rung on the ladder above life support.

    I think I played an old star wars mmorpg. Idk if it was an early version of swtor or if there were other star wars mmorpgs. I remember it looking more clone wars-ish and being alot more restrictive in what we could do. But when I first heard about swtor I always wanted to play. Never had the ability, Am now downloading it for the first time and hoping I enjoy it... Idk why its downloading at 700 kb/s tho. Most things I download usually go much faster >.>

      That move gave me confidence that the game still has a decent future ahead of it. I hope EA comes to their sense and gives the game more funding, which is doubtful, but if they did the game could do really well.

    • @jokr5242
      @jokr5242 Před rokem

      @@evozor5874 I feel the same way :( It is very sad, the game has a relatively active player base, no where near to be considered a "dead game." There is definitely an audience that very much wants to play a Star Wars MMO and in this case, the only SW MMO. But it seems that EA's goal might have been just to set up another micro-transaction money printer and leave it be (like it does with it's FIFA sports games, they make more money off the in-game store purchases than they do actually just selling the game).
      I also don't remember the last time I've ever seen an advertisement for the game which feels like a red flag to me about how much EA cares.
      Their exclusivity license which I guess technically meant that they didn't HAVE to make a good product because there was no competition for what must have been over ten years now.
      It's funny too because now that that license deal has expired, immediately now we have like 4-5 more new starwars games announced coming out from different companies.

    Yeah I love SWTOR. The story is good. I definitely always bounce between it and wow. Now FF since the story in that is so good. The recent changes to swtor for me were good and real bad. As a pvp person they kind of killed the game for me removing competitive pvp but the good side is they removed the pvp restrictions of not being a sub so I have no reason to really pay for the game anymore. So I still play it but I guess I still have the competitive itch and can’t really see a MMO beating wow arena in that department. I’m playing swtor a little more now that I’m not a sub.

    I think for new and casual player swtor is a very good game, the stories are incredibles, aside nim ops the pve is relatively easy and there is all lot of different content to discover for a new player. But to be fair the dev team is very bad, they don't care about hardcore players. They don't how to balance the game (the balance rn has never been this bad especially in pvp), thety don't listen to feedbacks, it take them 1 year and a half to give back offheal to snipers. New contant is added at a very slow rate, in 16 month we only got 1 new operation and 2 flashpoint I mean wtf.
    Every patch are slow and makes either useless changes or bads changes and usually they add massive bugs (7.3 can't stream the game on discord without making the game crash for exemple) and it will probably take months to be fixed. I'm not even talking about bugs that exist since the launch of the game. It almost a meme now.
    The game in itself could be good if there was actually competent devs behind it, I mean nim ops are good (at least the latest one most of the old one are a bit easy now), pvp is very engaging too its but the balance is so bad. Either they too sacred to make big changes or they don't know wtf going on in their game (It's more likely the second option).
    Story was a big asset for the game. In 7.0 story is almost inexistant. We used to have big stories which takes hours of gameplay now it's just little fragments realed uppon the year only to promote new daily areas.
    So yes most of all this is F2P fortunately because swtor doesn't worth paying 10/month since devs team is made of ghost
