Some of the songs shown here were originally supposed to be in Sonic.exe 3.0 update but were removed for obvious reasons, and thus were moved to ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION, which now is scrapped/cancelled. I have no clue why it got canceled, but It seems like it was close to being finished. This mod looks so amazing and the charting here is perfect too. You gotta try this one out. There are a few familiar faces here like Curse & Hog, but this time you get to see their official gameplay. There are also new songs like Found you and soulless endeavors.

Game Note: Duke is the main antagonist of the mod. In this timeline, X became Duke instead of Sonic.EXE and his story is a retelling of the original Sonic.EXE story. Thomas receives the disc related to the Sonic franchise, he plays the side story; Knuckles' Chaotix. All characters throughout the game die and Thomas not before dies by an unknown force. Mod has horror & jumpscares and secret songs in files.
Sonic.exe (also known as X or exe for short) is the main antagonist of the main Sonic.EXE series creepypasta. Sonic.EXE haunted game disc killing the main Sonic characters.
The foes we battle today are a scarier version of Tails Doll, Phantom Tails & Knuckles, Dr. Eggman/Robotnik, Faker BF, Fleetway Super Sonic, Lord X and Majin Sonic, Fatal Error Sonic, Needlemouse with Sarah, Starved Eggman, triple trouble, secret character Sunky, and new Majin Sonic.

The build was posted in the mod dev server for only the devs to play, but unsurprisingly, the build ended up getting leaked lol. Glad to see that people at least like what did end up getting done before everything just.. well.. collapsed.

When I saw "CANCELLED BUILD" in the title, can't lie that my heart sank as the quality for this mod is simply outstanding. Such a shame that it was shelved as it had so much potential. Hopefully this cycle of mods getting cancelled will end soon since it's always saddening to see such hard work go to waste.

In the Found You song, I really like how there's an after image when two arrows are hit at the same time. Really creative gimmick! It is a shame that this mod was cancelled.

This mod was directed by Averyavery, he discontinued the mod due to him being exposed for some questionable stuff. If i'm right, the mod was morely for chaotix and its lore, curse and hog we're just an extra.

During the normalCD cutscene I said “this is just the needlemouse cutscene” and then metal sonic said it and I just can’t 🤣
The songs are great, the characters are great, everything is put together so well

The mod is pretty much finish in my eyes. Everything works and plays well. It even has all the art.
It's only missing their own version of triple trouble. I for one am grateful for this build.
The other people here are being too dramatic.
it did have their take on triple trouble called final horizon, but it didn't make it into the game properly because it wasn't finished before the mod got canned

It’s super sad of how many mods are getting cancelled now.
At least this one got further into development. Though, gonna say it’s a shame they didn’t utilize Heavy and Bomb in this mod somehow, since they’re cult classic characters from Knuckles’ Chaotix. Still a great job to the team though!
I feel like leaking is gonna be a factor that will end the modding community harshly, ruining such great mods as this. But hopefully we can still see the mods in other games like funky friday or friday night bloxxin so they can live on! And get even more attention that they deserve to have!

I noticed this small detail when he hits a normal note and a long note at the same time, the animation for the long note (example the left note) duke shows that animation but with the normal note hit at the same time he shows a shadow of himself, really cool detail! (same with almost everyone but duke was first lol)
