Flagrant 2 in the rulebook states "when a player fouls a player with no intent of hitting the ball"...he clearly blocked Blake and his momentum keept going and hit him in the face...like wtf is wrong with the league nowadays.
I don't know, he got the ball, but lays his whole arm into Griffin's face. Can't blame Griffin for that. O'Quinn also led his jump with a protruding elbow, which initiates a foul anyhow. Not the best way to defend at all.
flop?? it was a good hit to the face, man. I think he got up quicky and was very calm, because the intention was on the ball, but the follow thru got him all in the face.
the talking heads on espn want blake to swing on somebody to stop this. so, he's supposed to get suspended 10-15 games, lose money, hurt his team by fighting and sitting at home for a 3-4 weeks? that's dumb.
The league office is probably trying to tell the league to stop with the Griffin-hunting, by fining him a ridiculous 15,000 dollar for this. Sad that O'Quinn is the victim here, because he didn't really do anything wrong. Should've been a flagrant 1, and nothing more.
Thats a foul not a flagrant....He clearly went for the ball and it wasn't like he pulled him down....They really need to stop these dumb calls....I bet if it was the other way around they wouldn't do much...
That's not a flagrant at all, let alone a flagrant 2/ejection. A few inches to the right, and that's a block, and if griffin's holding on to the ball hard, it's a clean block where griffin ends up falling backward. If he knocked the ball loose, he probably would have fouled on the follow through, but really, this is a play for the ball. I understand protecting griffin with all the times he's knocked or pulled down out of the air or swung at, but this just isn't one of those plays.
That is soo stupid that he got a flagrant 2. He made at play at the ball and his momentum is what caused the arm to the face. And he got fined 15k for that too, that is some BS
meanwhile blake griffin continues to get away with obliterating his defender's face with his elbow or forearm when he "dunks" on them, at which point the defender is called for the foul and we, being the drooling idiots we are, celebrate this "highlight" play...
First view I thought dude in the back got him. On the reply it was the guy in the front. If the guy in the back got him (Flagrant II) Guy in the front gets him (Flagrant I maybe) this would depend on the rest of the game, and the tone. Refs job to prevent injuires/protect players and uphold integrity of the game. So if they felt this was retaliation etc it could easily escalate or be a flagrant 1. I never watched the game I have no idea about that. Just my opinion on the call.
these commentators know nothing he touched the ball slightly then hit is hand don't complain it happens all the time don't make a meal of it commentators this isn't soccer

How the fuck is that a flagrant 2?????
It's questionable if it's even a flagrant 1; however, blake griffin does what he does best: flopping.

How the heck did he flop, you're just biased.
Talk about over reacting to the Griffin "i'm sick of being attacked when I go to the rim" talk. Wow. Maybe not even a flagrant 1

The thud of O'Quinn smashing his head lol, it bounced like a basketball

Not deserving of a flagrant 2; something like Darrel Arthur on Dion Waiters is true flagrant 2 material!

Holvin Santana play it it slow motion and see why the refs picked flagrant

lakeshoresubtleties that is not a clean block if you play it in slow motion

I agree with that being flagrant, but not a flagrant 2, even blake after the game said that he thought it was not a flagrant 2.

That should have been just a personal foul wow
Welcome to NY
