Yes but the quality of sets and minifigures are a lot better, inflation and these are a lot bigger. You'd never get a set like this from lego for 10 dollars unfortunately.
The plastic cost is not expensive. I saw a Lego knock of brand selling a box of 1650 pieces for $30 at Walmart. I get Lego uses a slightly different plastic but the price per piece they have been charging lately is waaaay too much
The thing is I’m TIRED of main characters. We need more clones! Would’ve been perfect if they included Rex, Jesse, A 332nd trooper, or a 501st trooper in this set.

Would’ve loved to get a thirty dollar version of this with a larger throne build with maybe the same turntable feature as the last two duel sets and maybe another figure like Rex or Jesse
I get the feeling that the reason maul in this set uses the standard hilt is to show off the asymmetrical nature of his saber in this duel, that’s the only reason I can think of.
Nice little set but shouldn't cost more than a battle pack imo Also there are a few changes I'd make: -New headpiece for Ahsoka -Use a 3l bar for Ahsoka's shoto saber -Give Maul the Monkie kid hilt -Include Rex or Jesse as both were in this scene
First of all. I really like this CZcams creator's use of reference material. I haven't seen those shows, so to say "this looks like X," and then actually showing X -- Fucking fantastic. Keep doing that. Very well done! Second. It is weird that this set is smaller than the other duel areas. And then even weirder when it's shown how loose things are like the door not having a latch, or the gun tray sliding out, or the glass being loose. Yeah, all of those things are a great opportunity to add a few extra pieces to put in triggers or locks. They could have easily expanded the set by about 10-30 pieces in simple ways to lock the gun tray or put a lever in for the glass pane. Oh well. I get the importance of these two characters, and if Lego wanted to milk us for some money--the set is still worth it for the figs alone.
Ik this doesn't match but... since I just bought 2 501st battle packs and I'll probably buy this, ahsoka will have a squad of clones before she makes it to maul. But I would love 332nd battle pack.
I think the prison vault is really cool, but I can't be the only one who thinks that it is hilarious that Lego Darth Maul is just peepin' out of it haha!
Actually Ryan, if you take the grey monkey kid hilt from the Medieval Blacksmith, and put on the shorter red light-saber blades from the Shadow Trooper Battle Pack, you would be able to make the more accurate Darth Maul Light-Saber, and I have it on pretty good authority that you have both.
I recently bought this...it was my first LEGO set in like 20-25yrs and I bought it for Maul and Ahsoka. All I've bought was key chains ever since I stopped building. But this has since started me back in to buying sets and building them.

I hope I can get a refund I opened all the bags before noticing…. Edit: forgot to mention the sticker sheet was also missing! I mean what happened to my copy of this set???
Honestly the only reason anyone would want this is for maul If the stickers were actually printed on the parts, that may justify the entire sets price. However that's not the case

They could have made some beams around the back with a place for maul and Ashoka to stand. It wouldn't add too many pieces either so the price could remain as is
I wish they would use shorter lightsaber blade pieces for her shoto. Also for $20, they could have added at least one more fig. Maybe a Mando Armor Almec, or Jesse.

These lightsaber duel sets are some of the best sets right now for the fact that you get two main characters for cheap with a good non vehicle build
I 100% agree, the non vehicle builds are normally pretty acurate and actually represent a scene which is really nice for 20 dollars

They could’ve easily expanded the set by making the area for Ahsoka being the pipe network they stood on where they actually dueled.
