I grew up with a White Jeep Golden Eagle (Back when they were new...), We also grew up in the era of birds on the hood of your cars.... I also owned a White 1976 6.6 T/A with a big blue bird rapped around the hood shaker... We still own and drive our 1999 Jeep Cherokee the wife got it when she graduated from collage. it was less than a year old and now it is almost 24 years old... Now to play the Game.... Wrangler. If not the Lerado.

I for got to add the wrangler came with... Square Headlights! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! That was a big deal when they came out, True Jeeps had round 7" Deadlights and the square headlights made it a Yuppy car and it would ruin the Jeep brand.

Excellent episode, love the Jeep stuff, my mom had a CJ5 back in the 80's, it was my primary vehicle after I got my license in 86', love the use of the maps to give a general lay of the land, I use Google maps to check out rail facilities and get a feel for how they fit in the surrounding area, loving the Rivard footage as always, those GP9's, that MNS switcher was a bonus, really enjoy the casual nature of the radio chatter back then, if ever I'm in the Twin Cities I'll have to check out Zantigo, I'm always on the hunt for good Mexican food, I have a hole in the wall mom and pop taco place I frequent along my territory, I notice when you were prepping for the op session you were putting everything into what appeared to be their original boxes, gotta say sometimes storing those boxes is a pain but I'm glad to have them when it time to swap out cars, finally got to see an episode within 24 hours of you posting it, watching this is my coffee walk, time for a refill, Thanks and catch you next week

It’s great to hear you’re enjoying the episodes and you’re still finding relevant bits of info.
Just one more episode remains, marking the 100th episode (between Soo/Milw Rd & The GN in 1970). Each episode from Season 7 is averaging 20+ hours to create…it’s gotten a little out of hand. 😬 As I still log 40+ hours of design work a week. I just like drilling down and trying to provide entertaining elements, like the maps for the prototype footage. That’s something I enjoy.

@SootheMilwaukeeRoad just to clarify. The modern 2023 railfan many are recording video and still photos at the same time. Maybe on the same tripod or mounted next to or on top. To have a fake sound multi click occuring of the shutter on the digital video recording is a bit annoying. i.e the gripe. It tends to ruin the video recorded sound coming from the locomotives.
