What's Below the Floor of the Great Pyramid King's Chamber? | Ancient Architects

  • Many of us have seen pictures and photographs of a strange anomaly in the northwestern corner of the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid.
    A number of granite floor slabs are missing. Old photographs show gaping holes, which were later covered by wooden planks and then metal grates. Up until the 1990s, the missing floor slabs were still inside the chamber.
    In more recent years, the floor has been restored, and metal sheeting and cement have made the holes in the floor almost invisible to unsuspecting tourists.
    So, what’s going on here? Is there something beneath the King’s Chamber? Did somebody dig here in antiquity? Did they find anything?
    Well in this video, I’ll be giving you the full story of what's below the floor of the Great Pyramid King's Chamber, as I look at written accounts, sketches, photographs and diagrams, and I also have a number of exclusive rare photographs from inside the pit below the King's Chamber.

    I've been to many sites in Mexico, part of me was always interested in Egypt, but I had no desire to go myself. and with your channel I'm confident I'm getting the views and information I need for personal satisfaction, without being part of the problems of tourism and the damage that can bring to these sites.
    I was fortunate to see the salt mines in Poland in the 70's, I am grateful I had the chance, but when I see the damage done, just by the humidity of tourist breath on the sculptures in the years since in modern/current photographs, part of me is sad that going forward those memories will be lost like tears in rain for future generations.
    love your work

    I was in the King's Chamber several times between 1959 and 1965, when guides would still offer to break off pieces of the "sarcophagus" with a hammer for extra baksheesh. The shaft was visible and protected by a heavy wire grate and sometimes a loose block of red granite. In 1959-60 there was active exploration in the shaft. In about 1980 the shaft had been covered by a metal plate. Separately, I've always noted the "sarcophagus" lines up with a block in the wall which seemed to be sized to match the sarcophagus... and begs the question if the block in the wall can be moved.

    One thing I have never seen, read or heard on any video about the Great Pyramid is WHY is there no artwork. Ancient Egyptians 'wrote' on any surface, flat or a rounded column, but not artwork on their largest pyramid.

    I visit the pyramids in 1981 and back then the holes were covered by two big granite blocks. What happened to them? Also the sarcophagus is located not parallel to the wall, it seems to me that for a construction closed to perfection they just put it anywhere. Any information on this will be appreciated, because as a curious tourist that likes ancient Egyptian history I left frustrated for not able to enter the Queens chamber or the chamber that is bellow, all closed. Thank you!

      And where is your evidence to present on whatever you claim to know or be true? That`s right, you have none after a few critical contrary questions (no offence). And that is by design, as this Prison Planet is filled up till the rim with deception, lies, propaganda, indoctrination, confusion and re-written "History"-books, as real Truth and evidence on truth are not allowed on this Planet. Just because I stated something unknown to most humans without any evidence doesn`t mean right away it is not true or did not happen. If I claim something to be true, but present no evidence, and so do you, both statements have the same value and can be both true or not true. As long as there is not one human being on this Planet that can present and come up with ALL complete Mathematical secrets on the Great Pyramid of Giza, no human should claim to know any (full) truth or knowledge what they are looking at as there might be more to this story and therefore incomplete (not much different as sponsored science is adjusting their findings every few years). More Mathematical discoveries are discovered every week by individuals. Sounds more like humans are slowly catching up what they are dealing with....or not. There is always more to something and therefore never the full Truth. Human Ego also likes to be predominant on this Planet, which is part of an (unknown) Infinite Universe in seize, time and dimensions.

    Awesome. I’m the personal account for the Wallace’s Mysteries of Antiquity channel and I’m working on a video about the history of all the nooks and crannies. You’ve reinforced some of same things I’ve found about when certain things came to be and your research is always top notch.
    I hypothesized that this excavation happened in the second intermediate age. While I haven’t found any documentation mentioning this space from antiquity, I do have a contemporary source mentioning when the looting of the pyramids happened, and I guess this excavation happened around the same time that floor of Snefrus kings chamber was ripped up.
    The hole Caviglia dug to follow the north shaft took a month to dig and Al’mamun only had 40 days minus however long the robbers tunnel took. He may have pulled out rubble, but he couldn’t have excavated it.

    By far the most content of the Gizah pyramids is about the "Great Pyramid". How about the other one? Has it rooms, a grand gallery, shafts, etcetera?
    Could you do a comparison of both. Did the architects had similar plans? Similar functionalities?
    If the "Grand Gallery" was used for counterweights I would expect a similar setup in Chefrens Pyramid. Same with the shafts.
    Thanks for your always professional & analytical content.

    It's important to note that if sand was spilling from excavations into vertical walls,cut blocks could not stop the sand infill from pushing the blocks out(unless they were ancient standards of fitting)hence the rope.the rope suggests to me they didn't want to use cement,as they wanted to continue exploration at a later date perhaps,who knows

    • @IlSqueak
      @IlSqueak Před 3 měsíci +1

      The unusual block can be seen throughout this video, for example at 17:12. It's on the Right Hand Wall, looks darker (in this light) than the others. That block is suspected to be a plug or filler. You can see the crack on the block above it, suggesting the cracked block is a kind of lintel if the dark block were removed. The fact the the hole is directly below it leads me to think that they were attempting to tunnel underneath and behind it. I don't know what the wall is standing on, but 1800's me would certainly have tried to get through it.

    As to the cannon! In the poll I answered that I would consider it as part of the cannon fire rule. I was wrong! We were all wrong!!! the cannon and great cannon are war machines. The Ironblaster and the steam cannon on the steam tank are chariots..... therefore they are not war machines and therefore the rules are different. If a model has a grapeshot or scattershot it will be included in the entry in the army list, if it does not it will have no scatter shot option. So in stead we should consider the auto include for grape-shot part of the war machine rule.

    interesting that the "Coffin" rings like a bell when struck, if the entire structure was vibrating as I believe then this motion would have vibrated the Coffin that could have activated a chemical inside...
    And also perhaps the lid was made of precious metal & was stolen long ago

    The etched picture has very defined lines directly below both air channels. Far thicker lines than the other seams between blocks for some reason?

    It is not the floor that interesting. It is the walls. I stood in this room a few years ago and noticed a wall block beside the stone box. This wall block was just slightly bigger then the box and the joints were not as sealed as the other blocks. I suspect the true tomb is hidden beyond this block.

    At 12:38 there is a shot of the brick wall and in the center it *looks* like there's an opening? with something yellow and spotted in it? I can't tell if it's the colour of the block there itself or it's an actual hole. Thoughts?

    Interesting that the shafts in this chamber were visible in1890 picture, yet were said to be covered over by builders? Possible another shaft to ground water in pit.

    I'm wondering if the sarcophagus is in its original location. At 5:25 you can see the floor has settled more on the side the box isn't directly above. Just seems odd it would settle opposite the side most of the weight is on. Anyway great video.

    The post being shown @13:17 looks to be metal and appears to be rusting rather than wooden. The image then shown @13:38 appears to shown two posts as they do not align when broken by the grate. I also do not think it shows the same post as seen @13:17 as then it is shown on a brick wall at the bottom. Also the 13:17 image shows a rectangular post the one(s) @13:38 are either square or just angles. Also the two images @13:50 are not the same post. The arrows pointing to the corner give the appearance that the top left image has the post much closer to the corner than the right Image (if you use the thickness of the Post as a scale). However as you said it is difficult to be sure. But the right Image shows it resting on the brick wall at the bottom the other image does not.

    I've been searching for new information on the pyramids recently.
    My question is,
    Why are the tomography scans being ignored?
    Enough time has passed that there should be world wide coverage but there is nothing...
    You are the second channel I've found so far with recent video's (so that's why I'm bothering you).
    But most have a "nothing to see here" undertone.
    Was it bad timing or does it destroy modern theories?
    Or something else?
    What do you think?

    In 1801 the existence of Antarctica was unknown to almost all, even though there were recopied maps from more than 10,000 years before. One of these maps is the famous Piri Reis map. The Piri Reis map uses the Great Pyramid for orientation.

    • @jonwallace6204
      @jonwallace6204 Před 3 měsíci +1

      I noticed that too. Pausing and looking closely, I can explain: on the left, it is a staff being help by the man in the corner and the one in the right is the same item but leaned up against the wall. I was also disappointed when I realized it. The man in the center of the room is holding the same staff, it’s probably to aid in walking/climbing, I grab similar sticks when I hike.

    • @garyhenderson9303
      @garyhenderson9303 Před 3 měsíci

      Could be on the left side, but I think he has his staff in front of his chest going down between his legs. On the right side if it was leaning against the wall the stick would be at an angle. Both sticks are straight and stop at the opening and are straight like the other joints in the stonework.@@jonwallace6204

    • @fennynough6962

      Not, likely to be a walking staff, as both are the perfect height & perfectly centered. More likely a conduit insert for metal probe, pole.

    do you think the King chambers and the broken piece from it's side was a way to be able to have some leverage to remove the lid? Do you think the Solomon's Temple was a representation of the inside of the pyramid? Do you think that the King's chamber being the holies of Holies is where the arc of the covenant was?
