Proud of that second half performance by Parra. 8 points down, I admit I wrote them off. They looked done. But Lane with the Man of the Match performance, RCG with the double, Mahoney with the 55 tackles. They were resilient in their defence in that last 20 and it won them the game.
80 minutes left to bring home the trophy. Itâs been a long time. I hope they make the most of it.

Reed Mahoney is the most underrated player in the game right now. His work defending plus The split second of doubt he puts the opposition defence in at times adds a whole dimension to the eels attack. The Gillard try was all reed
he should go play QB in the NFL and make the big bucks he throws a beautiful ball.

We can cry forward pass all day long, but the fact that we went into the sheds at halftime only at 12-12 is what killed us. For the sheer dominance the Cows had, it's our own fault for not capitalising when we had the chance

Okay I get what you're saying though without the forward pass try for the Eels Cowboys would have gone in ahead. Also the last Eels try was forward too. If the Cowboys had went in ahead at halftime no doubt they would have gone on to win the game.

Yes there was a forward pass and sin bin which tired them out and got the eels an extra 6 points to assist with the win, but they still lost their lead after all of that so I've gotta respect Parra for that one
@@aidanpace3308 mate, they were leading (20 -12) with les than 20 mins to go...they didn't need to score anymore points, all they needed to do was defend and make the parra play from deep inside their half of the field. Unfortunately, they couldn't defend, and RCG scored the easiest of his two tries and it was all over.....all I can say, is that, they gave away their win....
Way to go Eels!đ Tremendous heart & toughness shown down 8 in the 2nd half, to pull out the victory. Lane was incredible, so was Reed Mahoney, & King Gutho defended like his life depended on it. Very happy for Parramatta. Hopefully they can win the Premiership at long last! Props to the Cowboys fans showing class in defeat.đ And for the one's crying robbery because of 1 forward pass... How quickly you forget the Cowboys only made top 4 because of a blown call against the Tigers. Then a bogus challenge. That only happened because a player took a dive to fool the referee. Smh. Im a Knights supporter and i grew up playing league.
Credit to eels for holding the line to victory.
Although forward pass is a forward pass. We got 3, 4 refs on the field and a ww2 bunker and yet we just gonna brush that under the carpet and keep on singing kumbaya and declared league one of the greatest game ever.. I lost interest in rugby league because of the double standard refering, unfair penalties and how obviously crooked this game as turn into. Games not the same anymore when sportsbet got involved heavily and mskes the last call now it seems.
Its a joke its sick, its sad to see once such a great sports just got thrown into a pack of hungry wolfs to be torn and shredded. Shame, such a shame.

Cowboys didnât deserve to be there in the first place, they alongside the Sharks have had a very similar run, they had a âsoftâ draw, they beat Parra earlier in the year in Darwin when they had players out, Parra players werenât use to those humid tropical conditions, beat Melbourne at a time when they had a dozen injuries, given a free victory against a schoolboys reserve grade Penrith team, got pumped twice by the Roosters & lost to the Rabbitohs & Sharks too in the regular rounds.
And donât forget they also lost to the Bulldogs & Warriors too as well as given a cheap victory against the Tigers.
Then they fluke a victory against the Sharks in the QF while also having 30 points scored against them. So donât talk about them getting ârobbedâ in this game, they shouldnât have been in this position to be robbed, you reap what you sow.
They overachieved big time this year.
They WERE robbed in this game. Everyone except one-eyed Parramatta fans saw it. All those other events mean zero to the fact that they were robbed in this game.

As a cowboys fan I'm proud and disappointed at the same time, proud we finished where did, I was expecting another tough year, disappointed that we played well enough to win this game comfortably I thought and we let it slip, a few soft trys to rcg, and a few bombed trys, the forward pass was a howler but you have 80 minutes of football score enough points to not leave it in the hands of the ref, and we had the advantage of a week off and playing at home in the heat, nevertheless a good year with abit of dissapointing end.
