I just spent two hours checking my timing chain tensioners, making sure my valve adjustments weren't out of tolerance. I took my clutch cover off just to check the condition of my belt to find that the noise got louder when I took it off. Then I found this video. Needles to say me and my old man called each other some choice words and had a good laugh. thanks for the video!

This works because it tightens up the space that creates the noise. Tightening the bolt only will stop the arms from moving freely

Mine also had a noise coming from my engine I took the timing chain tensioner out and gave the spring an extra turn and it stop my engine noise

Does the clicking noise get louder in higher rpm? Mine has this clicking noise and I'm scared it's something inside my engine...

If there was somthing in the engine. It wouldn't be making a noise because it would destroy the crankshaft or damage the insides to a point of worse and worse

im thinking of doing this to save a trip from the dealer, here’s the thing, my four wheeler will not go over 10 miles an hour. 0 power what so ever. the ticking noise has gotten so bad and so im guessing it has to do with the timing chain. im gunna try this to see if my four wheeler will go back to normal😂

Wondering if you may be using the "valet" key, or haven't buckled the operator's seat belt. On some units, either will limit your power and/or speed.

I just did this to mine and it about burned my clutch and belt up. Be ware this does not work. If you have a noise that sounds like the valve’s it’s most likely your valves

How can that sound like valve noise?

nice. stainless steel or hardened shim steel washers are best, they don't wear fast.

Now you added weight and the clutch is no longer balanced

bs. the spacers are added all the way round. it is still in balance.

A number 8 washer is too light to make a differnence wise guy plus they are still balanced since there is a washer on each...

What's up with the long pinky finger nail? Kinda grossed me out, other than that your video was helpful.

I found the best way to get rid of that sound is to sell it and buy a Honda or Yamaha

T Smith in my view the Can Am is better than either of those. I wouldn’t go back to Honda. I was looking at a brand new Honda the other day. It’s nowhere near as strong & at least £1000 more than the Outlander. Mine is a workhorse on my farm. I find it a great machine

I spent a fortune on a can am and it's junk. The dealership was no help at all.
