Installing the "Impossible" Ceiling Fan

- This is a bit of a different style of video I decided to make about the story behind the Quoizel hugger ceiling fan with lights, and the Abigail Adams blue floral pattern. The reason why I am calling this the impossible ceiling fan is because I believe that this is one of the hardest to install out of any I have ever dealt with due to the many design flaws and requirement of needing more than one person. Not sure if I will do this for future restoration videos, let me know what you guys think. Overall, I just wish that I recorded more of the installation/uninstallation, but besides that this was pretty fun to work on.
This fan is also extremely rare and the only one that I know of to exist in this specific variation. This was recorded on New Year's Eve 2023, and the fan has since been traded to @ceilingfanman9662 who is also in the video. Even though this was a total pain to deal with, I'm glad I did it and it also makes for a fun story. - Zábava
The flywheel could be cheesed together if you mount a metal ring around the blade mounting.
Or just will need a replacement reguardless
We already got a proper replacement one put on it 👍
Beautiful fan. It's a shame the flywheel is so messed up. Are those blades really heavy, and that's why it's warped?
The blades are a little on the heavy side but nothing too crazy, I think it drooped over time because of the type of rubber they used getting too flexible
Honestly such a cool fan. When it gets a new flywheel it should work like new!
It has a new flywheel now, Matt fixed everything up around a month after we recorded this

I don't think this fan had lightbulbs in the uplight. I love this fan, though.
It did, but someone messed with the wiring inside the switch housing so the uplight did not get power
@@CeilingFanFiles Oh, I see.
Idk still seems easier than installing a HangTru
um where is the recall clip!!!!
@@CeilingFanFiles I agree.
Breh fr? Those are easy
@@vintagefancollector1436 i think he's being satire lol
I think I took a few of the screenshots here. Some of them have circulated in the fan community.
