Everyone is talking about the next generation end bit, and they should be. But what I find interesting is how the animation goes from TOMMY to the next generation scene. He's the youngest of MCYT - he grew up watching the first generation much as the rest of us did. I really like the symbolism of going from Tommy to the OGs. Makes the heart strings tug just a bit more.

Oh god the to the next generation hurts- I never really realized how fast i was growing up until i got back into minecraft, because so much has changed. In 2016-2018, popularmmos, dan and jen filled my recommended but they barely do anymore.

"to the next generation" that made me cry, and I don't cry about a lot of things... PopularMMOS, Stampy, SkyDoesMincraft, thedimondmincart. All of them were apart of growing up for me and I never thought I would move on. Then I left the minecraft community for so long, just came back a few months ago and the nostalgia hit me like a brick. All these new creators a some faces I was familiar with and watched when I was younger. Seeing all these creators move on and go off into the world feels sad but good. We really honestly never knew we were making memories untill they stopped... But really we all hope for the best for the past, future, and present minecraft creators of this platform and so many others. And thank you guys for my childhood.

"To the Next Generation" part took me a second to realize that those were the "First Gen" minecraft youtubers and going through the row I saw more and more familiar faces and I teared up seeing Sky and Stampy. They were such a huge part of my younger childhood along with all the others. Thank you for including them at the end to show that they are the reason we have the newer minecraft youtubers who will soon bring the same amount of joy to me that the old minecraft youtubers brought.

Sky and Stampy (along with Pat and Jen) were huge parts of me when growing up. I’m still watching mcyt and i teared up seeing “To The Next Generation” I can’t wait to see what this generation of mcyt can bring us :)

this video has suddenly made me realize why i love the mcyt fandom: everyone feels close. most of us fondly remember the old days of mcyt. and in this new generation, all the content creators are connected in some way. they all have their groups & participate in events together; chances are, your mc faves have talked to each other or participated in some event together before. even those that you don't personally watch are people you feel you know anyway, because you've seen them on other cc's streams.
it just feels like such a small, tight-knit community, while at the same time being this massive online empire that so many people follow. it's kind of special in that way.
This is exactly the community in a nutshell, thank you for writing this. I love everyone in the MCYT community and I am proud to say that this place has and always will be my safe haven. Even though time may pass I never will forget all the amazing people who made my childhood and all the people who supported them with me.

i must agree! look at people like the hermitcraft community, they all just hang out and build together, and while you may mainly watch grian and mumbo, you know iskall as the swedish pirate who joins mumbo every now and then in his mustached mayhem. or you may know good times with scar because of how many antics hes gotten in with grian, it just all makes you feel like you know them as well even if you never watched them lol
yeah, like tubbo & tommy or skeppy & bbh are dynamic duos despite one of them in the duos being overwhelmingly more popular than the other
I just heard about Technoblade death by cancer, and I was surprised, i'm not one of his fans, I didnt see his growth or something, I only know him because of Dream and the animations of him. But, when I heard his last words, and his father speech, I realize that one of the most shining star was fading away. Then I saw how he helped millions of people, just by being himself and encouraging others to be better persons, that is one of the most respectfull things I ever see in y life, and now I only wish the same he wished for all his fans and family.

This is very deep. Gave me chills the same way SADist's animatic did. There's just that feeling of love and childish thoughts when the ending was shown... I saw all the MC youtubers I looked up to back then. Before we had Dantdm, PoupularMMOs, Stampy(though he still makes wholesome content), TeamCrafted, now we have the Dream Team, l'manburgians, Sleepy Bois Inc., The Hermits... I love how simple minecraft is that it created such a huge community.

I’m just realizing now how much the MCYT community has changed. I remember growing up watching DanTDM, Thnxcya, Captainsparkles, PopularMMOS, ExplodingTNT, and then as I got older moving on to people like Pink Sheep and Purple Shep, being a devout part of the PGN, and now I’m watching people like Tommy, Dream, Wilbur, Techno, and Niki. And eventually, they’re going to be gone and there will be a new generation.
It really does feel like yesterday when I was laughing at Dan, ThinkNoodles, and Thnxcya doing their CrazyCraft pranks, gasping with shock as CZcamsrs would get to that plot twist in The Orphanage horror map, getting super excited whenever I would see a new clip of ExplodingTNT’s ‘Weird Comments’ series, or spending hours listening to compilations of different Minecraft parodies of early 2000s music. And now those memories, and those people, have faded away into yesterday’s stories. Some haven’t uploaded in months, some haven’t spoken the word “Minecraft” in months. Some just disappeared. What we really thought was going to last forever was gone in the blink of an eye. We got older, we got more mature, and we grew out of our old obsessions. These happy times became hazy memories.
And now we’re back again, still watching people play this wonderful game on CZcams, but different people, with different stories and different goals. People like the Dream Team, or those participating in Minecraft Monday, or the revolutionaries on the SMP, eventually every single one of them will end up exactly the same as the previous generation. Someday we’ll see their last video, or their last community post about retirement, and laugh and cry as they play and have fun on their worlds for the last time. Or maybe, maybe we’ll just forget about them entirely, and move on with our lives. Because while the new generation comes, the only thing I’ve learned, or that we’ve learned, is that what seems like everything right now, won’t last forever. The people I used to watch are gone, and I’m not a child anymore, almost none of us are. We can have the cherished memories we got from our time all those years ago, but in the end, those memories will be all that remain.

ugh im crying, to think we could see tommy or dream or wilbur's last video or stream without even knowing it. ive been watching them for months and it feels like only days have passed. when i was stressed out over work i just watched one of their videos or streams and i became almost instantly happy. its sad that one day they'll stop recording and this generation of mcyts will come to an end

Seeing Pat and Jen there makes me so happy. They, along with Stampy, were the ones that got me into youtube altogether.

So basically to start it off, the phrase 'Rolling Girl' is actually slang in japanese for a person who self harms. The chorus part "mou ikkai, mou ikkai" basically means "One more time, one more time" so it's kind of in the middle of this character (Miku)'s depression. By the end of the song, it can be interpreted differently. Some saying that someone saved her or the more likely, she gave in to her depression.

@@kenzie--roth That's why fanfic, fanart and stuff exist. They are made to be a permanent mark in history to remember the good times. Even if they quit, I sure know the fanfic, fanart, and their old videos are staying for us to look back.

It may not happen. We still have people in the old generation who do very well. (Captain sparkles for example) and while it’s not shown here, Etho and Mumbo started in the old generation and are blowing up more nowadays.
Just hope their careers won't end by some drama, that would be so sad
