- Happy to share a wonderful gift from the students of Ranjani Gayatri to their Gurus on the occasion of Vijayadasami 2020 which had to be a virtual session.
Ranjani Gayatri's words on this..
As we faced the first Vijayadasami without our Gurus- both our revered Gurus Sri TS Krishnaswami Iyer and Sri PS Narayanaswamy are no more with us physically, we were overcome by an aching sense of loss. However, as we met our students, albeit virtually, this feeling of grief was replaced by comfort, positivity and a healing energy. This beautiful video that has been made by our beloved students just moved us to tears- gratitude, joy and pride fills our hearts. May our Gurus bless these children whom we are fortunate to mentor!

When my friends and I watch movies together I am the only one who never cries even in the most dramatic scenes!! They make fun of me as 'Robot' .... I don't know what happened to me while listening to this - Tears started rolling out ... There is some Power here that can't be explained logically

I had not heard this song anytime and was not exploring any carnatic song recent past (since I am just a non trained listener) , but this rendition made me explore this song, now I am listening many versions of this song back to back!
The first time I heard this sung by MS Amma I had tears. That was a perfect gratitude towards the divine Goddess. And today this beautiful samarpanam towards the Guru's has brought tears. Feeling blessed to be living in such an era

Aha, what a heart-wrenching write up by RaGa in the description. True musician becomes complete only when the music is passed on, without any reservation , to the next generation. RaGa have done this and continue to do so , like their emminent gurus, especially PSN Sir.
I was also so impressed with RaGa sister's thirst for knowledge themselves, when they keenly enquired on rare kritis sung by Vid.Gayathri Girish in a recent Antakshari video organised by Dr. Sowmya.
This is why these perfect Gurus(RaGa) produce great students.

Came across this a couple of days ago. Would have listned to it at least 5-6 times. Superb - padantram, synchronization. spashtam, on the note, suswaram, dyanatoda arpallippu.. Melodious to ears, considering many a student participating. Passing expertise, knowledge on to next generation is commendable. definitely worth creating more of this kind.. of course the varnama is above par. hope to hear more of this kind.

This composition and this presentation .... which is more important, difficult to comment. such is the grandeur of the presentation. a tearful appreciation and may god bless you all to shower such graceful renderings in future to delight this world which is becoming darker with violence. More creative presentations can perhaps make this living more joyous and meaningful. Thanks for the video.
