Obviously, there was something there from the start. (Look at Cory's reaction when she mentioned THE NEWLYWED GAME.) Just because they didn't start dating right way means nothing. Also, they may not have announced their relationship until the 3rd season, but they could have started dating before then. Perhaps not during Season 1, but many celebrity couples wait a while before making their relationship official to the press. Same goes for separation/divorce proceedings. How many times have we read that So-and-So have announced the end of their marriage even though they've been living separately for quite some time?
Kelly Hazelett it’s possible, they dated briefly pretty early on the show. Like mid to late season 1 after John Lloyd young and before Theo stockman, so it’s very much possible they were dating here

I love how Cory calls her Lea Michele instead of just Lea, it's so cute how he does it r.i.p. Cory ❤️
He really loved her. He knew her really well and deeply loved her. A few weeks prior to his death, he surprised her at a Marie Claire Mexico shoot, and the editor said they were clearly very in love. Until the very end, they loved each other. What a tragedy.

I never thought I could get so emotionally involved in the death of celebrities, even the one's whos work I was a huge fan of, but something about Cory Monteith's death and knowing about his relationship with Lea Michele just gets to me, his death is such a huge tragedy and I'm gonna miss him so much. :'(

Lea and Cory loved each other so much and they were certainly kindred spirits❤, their love was so great, if he hadn't died they would surely have a family today, I have never seen so much love in my life, and it was seen in their eyes, smiles, and especially the part that thrilled me, whenever they were in the crowd, Cory would hold her hand tightly so as not to be pulled away from him, and she would always embrace him with both arms around his arm as she walked and rest her head on his heart. 😍😊, where is the luck that he is alive, we all miss him so much😔, now they would have a family together😞❤, no one will ever be like the two of them... Monchele and Finchel are forever❤❤❤

I hate that articles are writing about all his rehab and messy childhood. Neither of those things came to mind while watching this incredibly happy guy laughing and smiling. Lets remember him for his incredibly joyful personality. I bet he was such a great guy and it's such a loss to know that one more great human being is no longer with us. RIP Cory and my thoughts go out to Cory's family and Lea.
What if Cory never got the part as Finn Hudson? What if he didnt get his big break and become famous? I'm hurting right now.. But I've learnt to be grateful for ever getting to know Cory... To see him act, To hear him sing, To laugh with him, and to love him.... Don't cry because its over... Smile because it happened.
