Thank you for posting this! We are singing it on Good Friday and I'm playing violin and now I can practice. It doesn't seem to be sung too often. Lovely hymn.
" We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfill all thy petitions."
~ Psalms 20:5
" He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love."
~ Song of Solomon 2:4
Welcome back, Warbler Girl! I've missed you these past years. I grew up with the 1941 Missouri Synod's "The Lutheran Hymnal." And some mornings these days in my quiet time when a hymn from my childhood comes to my memory, your channel has been my go-to site to hear it sung so beautifully and reverentially. Once in a while I'm disappointed because you haven't posted a song I was looking for, but usually it's there. And I've wondered about your absence and hoped life was going well for you. Anyway, welcome back. Keep singing. You have a very blessed ministry, gifted by God the Holy Spirit.
