Just bought a sovereign 2009..fully loaded with sunroof...what a flawless drive..1x owner ..58.000 miles full jaguar history..last of the sir Williams lyons design..true gem of a car
I had a XJR 2007 with 20” Callisto rims, side vents, aluminum dash. Acute cruise control, parking sensors. Nav, blue tooth. Never had a problem. Appreciation comments. Way ahead of its time.
As often with British cars, ahead of their time, thus requiring specilized maintainance. Which many owners didn't do, resulting in problems. I picked up an 04 4.2 with a couple of minor issues, great car to drive. Only missing front parking sensors and a backup camera. There is an aux jack, but only for rear passangers.
I still have my 1999 Vanden Plas, which looks exactly like this model except for the color & I also have the distinguishing 'leaper' on the front hood rather than an emblem, & I still love it! I've test driven & considered at times of trading into a more current late model but the later Vanden Plas models don't feel any more refined, eloquent, unique & 'British' than my baby does & so rather than wasting a considerable amount of money on a newer version I shall happily keep what I have. Sadly, you don't even get the 'leaper' statue on the hood of the newer Jaguars anymore, which is such a stately & defining indication that you are in a Jaguar. My Vanden Plas still turns heads & gets public stares & Ahhs as I drive by adoring fans. lol If I could find a 98-99 XK8 convertible to add to my 'family' I would be very happy & content individual.
Backseats look comfy and those lambswool rugs look soft enough to pamper your feet in also there are power adjustable rear seats for those seated in the back with a massage function to relax your back muscles plus heated and cooled seats and rear seat picnic trays that are inlayed with elm wood veneer.
This is a gorgeous machine and i want to purchase one....Only think is my 2000 Xjr has been making 0-60 under 5 seconds for years....Why is the new one slower?

Oh, the only two items I’ve added. Intake manifold and smaller supercharger pulley. Love that supercharger whine.
Mine still drives silky smooth and it's 14 years old. Love that car!

Face lifted X350 is so nice! Wish they would have kept around longer.

By 2009 the X358 was supplanted with the X351.

It looks lower and sleeker than I remember. Perhaps the screen's aspect ratio has been "tweeked".
