- This is the final New Windsor cinematic video. I put many days into this because I wanted to make sure New Windsor got the goodbye it deserved. Enjoy!

New Windsor was a Cities: Skylines series where I built a large-scale, realistic city located in the New England region of the United States. While downtown New Windsor is mostly based on Providence, Rhode Island, surrounding towns take inspiration from other cities in the northeast. For example, New Belfast is a city connected to downtown New Windsor via light rail, and it's based on Portland, Maine. I used to live in New York state, so much of what I built in this series is based off of my own experience with the region.

Some of us may still be sad that the series ended, but at least no one can say that New Windsor wasn't given a proper ending. It really went out in style. Rest in peace, New Windsor.

Pres.........man...this is mind-blowingly impressive! Your attention to detail is impeccable. You've captured New England so well in this. There's spots that look just like your flying into Logan over Quincy, MA or your on I90 on your way out through Worcester, or your down in the seaport district by the Wharf, and also got some Manchester/Concord NH vibes. Absolutely unreal. Great work man keep it up! Can't wait to see more of your work

As a New Englander myself, it feels like I live there. May need to check out this series in the future, as long as the episodes aren't too long.
Episodes usually ranged from 15-25 mins, sometimes a bit longer. Pretty outdated, but you might enjoy!

i remember 2017 when i watched ep-1 i got hooked into the game after that but this city is just so amazing now
New Windsor was one of the first series I watched, it's an amazing city, it's a shame it had to end but ehat an end!!
It's weird for me to see the big buildings so far apart, because in my city they're really close together.
This ending definitely does New Windsor justice. I can really remember when this series started, which is just too weird. But from now on, here’s hoping for Columbia City to be even bigger and better.

Providence, RI vibes - attention to detail capturing the essence is phenomenal - pockets of Woodstock, VT and other crannies of New England beautifully depicted!
I'm really liking this city, as a Connecticut native I'm getting a mix of New Haven and Hartford vibes with Boston thrown in it.

Pres it was intended as such. In my mind, it’s like providence Rhode Island. And I had a great time when I was there, a good scene and nice folks.
@@Phisherman86 You are definitely correct about the Providence statement; Pres has stated that he took inspiration from Providence for New Windsor. Of course, that was not the only inspiration, but looking at the downtown portion of New Windsor and comparing its layout with Providence's center city, the reference is pretty obvious.

@@PresCities Don't get me wrong, the video was great, I mean the series itself. A couple more episodes to fill up the blanks and do maybe one or two big builds (like a proper harbor and industrial area) would've been awesome.
