Healing really starts with honesty with once self
She was humble and honest enough to say that her life choices brought her to all the mess. I cried too when she acknowledges the grace of God who made her whole again. It is so true. She experienced Him in a personal way and there is nothing religious about that.

I experienced that too. I'm not the best, perfect person but I talked to God. I didn't trade anything I just opened my heart and I felt his love. It's true what Maricar says she's not crying about what happened to her, she's crying because she feels God loves her.

When the scandal hit, I already admired her then, so much, because I thought this woman carries a lot of inner strength. She silently endured her battles with grace. That's a lot for someone to go daily to work and face the world knowing the world is looking at you. I still remember during those times she attended a program night show in abs-cbn. Wow. The guts to be there knowing that all eyes and thoughts of other people were on her. That's why I admire her even then. She never said anything about it. What's there to say, anyway. She never explained to anyone, she doesn't owe anyone. And here she is, still as strong but with God in her life, stronger, wiser and with inner peace in her heart.

I remember when the scandal was freshly out, Maricar's silence was the most impressive. She was able to handle it with grace. And when she was ready to be interviewed about it, she was so good at shifting the energy to her craft as an actress, as a woman of high value inspite of her imperfections. Super astig ng gurl na to! Way back, i really thought she was not affected that much, kasi wala syang reaction tsaka lalo sya sumikat after the scandal. I never imagined grabe pala ang epekto sa kanya. I've reached a point in my life where I compare my circumstances to those of others and wonder how they are more fortunate than I am. How are people more prosperous than me when I think that I deserve it more? We might think that we are better than the others or that they have committed more sin than us, but that's not what he sees. God sees what's in our hearts and how we present ourselves to him.

But always remember that God is there our final refuge. Maricar is a living testimony that whatever trials or challenges that we may experience, there will always be someone who will make us whole. That is God...
I had moments in life where I also felt I was the victim. Same with Maricar, I realized it's my own doing too. Can't blame anybody but myself. Only in God can we find the true meaning of unconditional love and acceptance.

Whenever I am reminded of the painful experience I had, I go back to this line not because it is still painful but because I wanted to remember how God delivered me from it. He has always been there waiting for me but I denied myself of the free gift of salvation. He took me out of the sinful life I used to live. He gave me freedom I am enjoying now. God is preparing us for the life He planned for each one of us, the process may be painful but the outcome is victorious.
To those who are in painful situations now, remind yourselves that it is not always like this, it will pass. Trust God's process of healing you and hold on to His words. He has plans for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you.
That is why I like Toni.. she is a medium of expression to people that has stories to inspire others.

I really love that part as well. Sa panahon ngayon mahirap magsalita Kasi people will accuse you as victim blaming pero yun na nga let's face it na most of the time it's was our own choices that led us there.
