I saw Spingsteen in Anaheim and marveled that he was the "voice of the people". My heart was on fire for days. Even the little people have a friend in Bruce Springsteen.
If this were a cover of this song by someone other than the boss, I'd say it's the best cover I've heard. But instead I'll say it's better than the original. Bruce shares the pain of those who've heard the lone whistle whine. I'm guessing he didn't smile during this song. He gets it.

these guys made Born In The USA look like great music was easy to do.....i really hope one day everyone will recognise just how good and special this album is...timeless, touching and beautiful!! : )

iv'e disliked that style for awhile now,he seems to do it with the old songs,the new stuff has sounded great live since he got the band back together,it kinda ruins it for me when he does that.

This is an amazing song and the D&D tour was great but this just doesnt work. It might have worked on piano or acoustic guitar but not organ
Love bruce - but didn’t like the sound of any of the songs on this tour .
