Welcome to Oak Street Zoo - my brand ne City Zoo Franchise mode Zoo. In this Zoo I am aiming to build a very compact, small city zoo. That said, we won´t go crazy with large safari habitats or anything else - we will make sure to keep it simple and basic.

In Planet Zoo you are the Zoo Manager. Create underwater Viewing Galleries, develop intricate Chimpanzee climbing frames or house a majestic Bengal Tiger. You also need to make sure your animals stay healthy, have a comfy shelter and are not too annoyed by your guests. Speaking of which, you will need restaurants and other facilities to keep them happy too.
If you succeed, you will be granted access to the most impressive animals of this planet, such as the Giant Panda, a fluffly small red panda, the scary Komodo dragon or the bulky Hippo.
You can also build several habitats, Domes, safari rides or walk-in habitats that provide the best view onto your animals.

I loved the way you used the blueprints
The facilities dont have to be connected. They work just fine when they're just like 1 in game meter close to path.
Oh, Rudi! I wasn't expecting this!! Let's see how you deal with hard mode! I lost one of my best zoos due to bankrupt. I advise you to be careful with meat-eating animals, they will leave you in the red if you add them too abruptly into your zoo.

Yes absolutly agree. I added lions yesterday and I was suddenly losing so much money. I didn't get it. But then I discovered they cost me 20.000 per feed!

I am happy that i can see one of your zoos from beginning this time, following you now for a while and this hard mode will be interesting! Am i wrong or there is no toilet lol ( are they hided in third part near the shops?)? Hope no refunds for human accidents cause of that lol!

Hey Rudi! Yes they are white Gorilla's in Planet Zoo! I got one in Sandbox it was my first Baby Animal in the Game! Only 1 day after releasd
If you have issues with mosquitoes you could try a yeast trap. Also mosquitoes hate the smell of lavender. So you could try a lavender candle.
I use to live in florida and theres a huge mosquito problem there where they have to spread insecticide by helicopter to cut down on the numbers.

It is interesting how quickly animal prices have changed. I have top Common warthogs (Albinos) at the zoo, but no one buys for more than 70 points ..
Well this was a start of a zoo, i can't really say more than that.
Hi Rudi, another point: Did you know that the animals do respect the fences that come with the Paths? So you can do invis barriers, and then use fenced paths around the habitats and the animals wont run out....

So, to be honest, i think i would have liked the habitat more if the fencing was the same. The backdrop is good. but why having 2 different fencing to the left and right of the keeper gate? (also, on the right, i do see some mistakes in the fences that are to close to each other. :) )

Loved this episode! Classic themes is my favorite in game style. Excited to see how Oak Street Zoo progresses.

I may be wrong but I thought if part of the habitat has power the whole habitat has power, so any heaters in the back of the habitat should still have power?
I always use Franchise Mode even for my creative zoos as I like the extra challenge of financing everything (usually through the form of some temporary habitats until I can start building creatively).
Looking forward to seeing how things go on hard mode as its something I haven't tried yet.
The biggest problem I have is that I become far to critical of my own work and never seem to finish a project before starting a new one.

fascinating to see how differently you approach hard compared to paulsley. Also i thought you had to research- vet, mechanical etc. things before they become available, like enrichment items.
Nope, you take it to other zoos so that is pretty much a big advantage

Hey, how did you mange to hide the mud bath in the ground? If I try to increase terrain hight, the game won't let me do it around enrichment stuff. Thanks!
There is an option in the settings to turn off collision of enrichment items

Yeah, but only in the first you play. after this it translates over to the others unless you uncheck it =)

Hey Rudi, a few days ago I finally bought planet zoo, I was very excited to create my zoo, but it turns out I can't, all the zoos I do are going to bankruptcy, I've done some of the game's tutorials but still, Apart from that I don't know why it won't let me put vendors in stores, do you have any tips? because I bought the deluxe edition with all the dlc's and I don't want to have spent so much to not be able to play

It's super great for a start. And you only need like 2-3 animals at fist and easy get up to 100 000 in money. Just remember to have animals thats guest wanna see! Hope it helps!

Start with one small exhibit. Warthogs or peafowl, a food stall and drink stall, make sure you have at least one donation bin. Then wait til you have about 15k before making another exhibit.
