I think in the machinegames timeline it was hinted that the original time line was a dream reality made by B.J of him winning the war while the machinegames reality was taking place.

There is a link between Wolfenstein (2009) and the Wolfenstein The New Order, that is Caroline Becker of the Kreisau Circle survive a fall(But paralyzed due to her injuries at Isenstadt) at the end of Wolfenstein (2009). And the leader of Berlin resistance cell in The New Order.
True, but they nixed other things about the setting for Wolfenstein 2009, for example, Hitler is alive now, and he was dead in the 2009 game.
As far as the different timelines, I do think it's worth mentioning that the MachineGames story seems to keep Most of Wolfenstein3D and Raven's Wolfenstein 2009 as canon. In The Old Blood's prologue you can find a newspaper article mentioning a "failed assassination attempt" on Hitler that seems to be referring to Wolf3D, and when you first encounter the powersuit soldiers in Chapter 1 BJ remarks to himself "I saw their type back in DeathsHead's X-Labs", referring to the events of Wolf2009. The most interesting part to me is that while Wolf2009 was a follow-up to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, The Old Blood could be seen as a re-telling of RtCW since the story is nearly identical with different names and a bit shorter (infiltrate CW with Agent 1, get captured and escape, meet a contact in the village, stop nazis from harnessing an apparently supernatural power), and it's now taking place After BJ meets DeathsHead for the first time, whereas RtCW happened before his introduction. Other minor details are changed to mesh the new timeline better, but the MG universe does seem to be making an effort to keep the past continuity as much as possible.

In the end, yes I prefere Doom... a lot more than this, I've played both old blood and new order, but I am glad I didn't play the last two.
I hate this hatred against Germans (yes you will say, it's against Nazis not Germans... still hate it, no I am not a nazi).
And also the story is very... shitty... a lot. (at least for me...)
