I did this mod also, but you are using standard screws. hpi baja has metric screws. 4m is the perfect screw that will fit with out drilling. 4m 5m and 6m are the most common size on the Baja. 6m size are the bigger screws that's are used on the engine and clutch carrier area.
it works fine the tighter the screw is to the bell the better i used the hammer to knock the screw into place is all. I've been driving the car pretty hard for the passed few days and I've have no problems with the mod yet.
so what do you call 7:19 dumb shit as i sai you used it to get the pinon on to the bell and it didn't even make it go on all you were doing was making the reason it wasn't going on worse,that reason was from when you have done that before it had made a bur around the edge which around 7:27 you had to file off the bur so yes i do know what i am talking about it is you sir that doesn't know what he is doing

#8 isn't metric...it's an actual 'standard' size, which is why the length is listed in inches

you also used it to try and get the pinion onto the bell...... making it worse is all you did
