Damn jack you definitely had one of the cleanest r36 in Australia and kept it in such nice condo. Must've been hard to let it go man. But the a4 is a nice option and probably more practical in terms of parts

Sorry to hear about your loss of job BTW. I lost mine too, and don't even know if I'll ever get it back. So money is tight for me too. But this is just temporary. Couple R36 questions:
What was reliability like?
Was it easy/reasonably priced to maintain?
What was it like to drive?
Mine was extremely low millage and required no servicing other than me changing its oil every 5000kms, cost were obviously cheap as I was doing it myself!
They drive awesome, my only real negative is that the haldex AWD system does tend to like to understeer in comparison to the Quattro system on the a4.

@@jessm5558 Awesome first cars, when looking make sure all major servicing has been done at the correct intervals or earlier and same with oil changes. I would personally pick one with higher kms and full service history over a lower km example with patchy service history!

Nice car man. Fellow Aussie VAG guy here. How has your experience been with reliability? My Passat has been great but my A6 had timing chain failure. Nearly killed me. No where near as nice as yours though
Dude your going to regret letting that R36 go I had an R32 and within a year missed the VR6 engine to much and now have an R36 aswell, no where near as clean as my R32 was but atleast I've got that godly engine back. Really wish I never sold my R32 tbh
