Some important points about the conflict:
    * When the Palestinians say "Free Palestine" - they don't mean two states living side by side, Israel and Palestine; what they mean is a Palestinian state that replaces Israel.
    * Israel agreed to a two-state solution in 1947, the local Palestinians rejected this and waged war on Israel. Israel offered 99% of the West bank and Gaza in peace offers in the 2000's - this was rejected by the Palestinian leadership.
    * Israel also agreed that the Palestinian "refugees" (very fake to call them this, as they are not true refugees) will return to the Palestinian state. Palestinians demand they go to Israel, turning Israel from a Jewish majority to a Muslim majority. So, two states, none of them is a safe home for Jews.
    * Israel is a western liberal democracy. Palestinians (and all Arab countries) are not. Does it really make sense to you to support nations whose values are actually against yours? Can you be gay in Palestine? Can you be a feminist? Maybe it's about time you educate yourself a bit more?
There are many more points and subtleties.
This video czcams.com/video/XNf40sBcvKk/video.html&ab_channel=travelingisrael.com summarizes the conflict quite well.

What the hell! I was looking at your channel and got inspired by it.
This is terrible. You think your opinion is so correct, and the 'massacre' versus 'defense' argument is so justified that you place this on a science channel? What the fuck. Disgusting
Russia wants to have part of Ukraine; Ukraine refuses and fights for it. Following your logic, Ukraine is just wrong for not accepting something that isn't fair to them, so they must be genocided until they either accept or retaliate and pay the price for it.
I know, i know, this isnt the same, Jews have their history, it's not comparable. Well I think it is totally comparable in the sense that indeed no 2 events are ever comparables but this is ridiculously close enough to be sufficient to open your islamophobic eyes.
The exchange you say they refused was refused because they proposed less than half of palestine for the muslims while the population of the muslim was nearly twice the size of the jews. A fucking channel of a statistician making the number lies what the fuck

I really love the quality of your statistics videos, and I understand that my opinion has a small weight, but I feel that you should step away from political topics. Specially by claiming "I ll tell you the truth about what s going on in Israel".
I understand your pain and daily struggle, but this conflict is so complex that anyone claiming for truth sounds uninformed or/and even bad intended.
Also, using repetitively the worlds "atrocious" "horrific" show that you re limiting your effort to propose an objective opinion.
Most human brains are intelligent enough to understand that "1000death" is horrific. Emotional triggers using those worlds only aim to push away reasoning.
I, of course, strongly empathize with what happened to Israelis on the 7th of October. As I empathize for what happened to Palestinians after facing the Nakba and every continuous Zionist actions since then.
I ll keep follow your maths contents as I m here for this reason, and I ll better follow serious journalist and academic historians/geopoliticians/sociologists when I want to get informed about political topics.
Anyway, I encourage you to keep doing maths content! It s fun, fancy and not as much polarized as other topics :)
Plus, you re good at it!

I'm giving my opinion here after one of the most traumatic experiences my country has experienced. This is my side, and if you listened to the video, I never say this is "the truth" (Even though I think it is) but just said this is my biased opinion.
I will post whatever I want on my channel, run by a proud Zionist, whether you like it or not.

The actions of the hamas are atrocious and indefensible.
My only comment is that Israel has often in the past refused to really work for a two-state solution, with all the occupation and the settlements. So to say that it was always Israel who wanted peace is not accurate. It's more complicated than that.
Especially when the government often supports the settlements in the west bank.

By "refused to work for two-state solution" you mean the Israel approval of the 1947 two state solution which the Palestinians rejected and waged war instead? Or the several peace-offers that were made to the Palestinians that included 97%-99% of the West bank and Gaza with land swap for the extra 1-3% + agreeing that all "refugees" (which is a fake term when regarding the Palestinians refugees, the only refugees in the world that pass down their refugee status from generation to generation) will return to the Palestinian state? Israel agreed to any solution that would allow Israel to exist as the safe home of the Jews. The Palestinians rejected any solution which didn't include the entire land only for themselves and chose war time and time again.

    • @rp7390
      @rp7390 Před 9 měsíci

@@MeerkatStatisticsI agree that the 1947 solution would have been good and should have been accepted. But I understand that this was difficult at the time, so shortly after people had been removed from where they lived. Nonetheless, I think it would be the best way for a two state solution.
Regarding the cross-generational justification of claims to land: isn't a lot of Israel's argumentation the same?
If people have had to move from where they lived and liver in a refugee camp, that counts as a refugee to me. No need to put it in quotation marks and delegitimize it.
Regarding the 99% of west bank peace offer: I am not aware of any such thing, but I'm happy to read any reference you give.

    • @MeerkatStatistics

@@rp7390 "so shortly after people had been removed from where they lived" not a single Arab was displaced before the UN decision and the war the Arabs waged upon the Jews. Many Jews though were displaced by Arab attacks and massacres. It was only during this war and the war of 1967 that Arabs were displaced.
By your definition of refugees, most of the Palestinian refugees are not eligible, because they were born outside.
I remembered around 97-99%, I now looked for sources, could only find a Hebrew wikipedia, which states that Abbas (the PLO leader) offered 1.9% land swap, and Olmert (Israel Prime minister at the time) offered 6.3% land swap. he.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D7%A9%D7%99%D7%97%D7%95%D7%AA_%D7%90%D7%95%D7%9C%D7%9E%D7%A8%D7%98%E2%80%93%D7%90%D7%91%D7%95_%D7%9E%D7%90%D7%96%D7%9F

How do you justify the killing of more than 80 Palestinians by IDF, including childs, in the occupied West Bank from the 7 of Octobre ?

    • @MeerkatStatistics
      @MeerkatStatistics  Před 8 měsíci

There are also Hamas/Jihad terrorists in the west bank. Should we simply let them kill us?
I'm sorry for innocents killed. But this is what happens in armed conflicts. Two days ago, there was a terror attack in Jerusalem: two Palestinians started shooting and killed 4 Israeli civilians. The IDF shot and killed them, but also accidently killed an Israeli civilian. This is tragic, but war and fighting are messy.
