Weird collision things you can do in Pathologic Classic

- This is a compilation of different collision things you can do without console commands in Pathologic, for the purpose of this recording I did have God mode enabled, but most of these things can be done without severe damage to your health but always remember to save anyway!
The collision in this game works in weird and interesting ways and there is a lot you can do if you try hard enough. Unfortunately we still don't know how to enable visual collision boxes to see whats going on, but maybe one day!

this is actually pretty funny because it is the one and only trick used in the speedruns of the game (other than walking diagonally) and it's so silly
Bizzare. All of these weird collision tricks kinda make the game feel even more mysterious and strange.
Agreed! They're an interesting little insight into something we know very little about and the choices made regarding them raise questions

You can also climb up to rooftops by mashing the jump and crouch buttons like there's no tomorrow. Though it's rather finnicky and you also need to find a slight slope on the wall for it to work (like the ones around their front door and some houses have columns that are climbable)
Speed matters here but i've yet to find a house (aside from the termitary) that wasn't climbable

Jumping onto windowsills and some tables, some beds, a few other indoor items is how i would loot the houses and defeat the burglars without taking damage haha
You can also hop over the stone wall outside Vlad the Younger's house, it's useful when you have no reputation and everyone is hunting you
This stuff is much more fun when the game never intended it. Unlike many games today where this climbing stuff is built in, just gets boring.
What's the most interesting is that the path alpha has a lot of these removed, stairs for example are easily climbable and you move up and down them like a slope, but then in the final they made the collisions box bigger, I believe its the same for slides
this video made me happier than it had any right to. love to see the game being appreciated, especially in silly ways like this
