So far I've acquired some valuable transferable skills such as communication for work, critical thinking, feedback evaluation as well as how decisions are made. I am able to question and also negotiate necessary outcomes. I feel as though I have enough skills to be able to earn good income, however, the only thing I need now is to invest these skills in a passion project. 45 & just turned everything around last two years. Shoveling money into retirement, decluttered almost everything & became minimalists and created and stuck to a budget. Soooooo difficult with a huge family and a lifetime of living insanely above our means, but it’s possible, so worth it & we are very proud of ourselves, finally.
Pretty close to you. 45 & really changed my inside 3 years ago. It’s never too late: remember that tomorrow is the first day of your remaining time! What I love is the constant little change and progressive improvement of my life.

Don't do what I did. I'm 53, in debt, have to work 48 hours per week, get up at 3am. I live from monthly pay to monthly pay. One month away from the street. PLAN for your future while you are young and don't think you can do it later. I am angry at myself every day for not doing what I should have done. In my defence, there was no such training when I was a kid. NOBODY told you to save for your future. SAVE. Don't be that person that spends the second half of their life in misery.

Damn. You put into words EVERYTHING that I had experienced and went through! Totally Nailed it! After almost four years since leaving the traditional workforce, I'm a van-lifer and am currently sitting with just under 34k in savings... but it is all mine! I have always been a minimalist my entire life, raised by a "settle with poverty" family, where I was the first to receive a diploma in almost 125 years. The blue collar workforce and government supplement aid was very much present in my family history. They are hard-working folks but always kept their head down, never making and risking for a dream. I am the first to break from that molded tradition at the age of 47. Shoot ... I didn't mean for this to become a rant. Great video. BIG thumbs up!
@@jessicawells4883 Basically, I got fed up, packed up what I actually need to survive, and I "peace out." Admittedly, it was stupid not to have a plan and, at first, I suffered a bit. However, I like to think that the universe favors the foolish because I seem to have been provided for. There was truly only one way to go in my situation: up. I'm not living like a hog and I don't spend beyond my means. I'm rich with experience, I shoot stock images of from all over and I'm okay with that. Too bad I'm not a content creator or I would show everyone. I also have not been faithful in building up or marketing with Instagram. In the past, I created simple camera and Photoshop tutorials with some satisfaction of contributing to that community but I always came away with the feeling of... Cliche. I will give this a shot with a few videos and see if it would be a better fit for me.
I am currently creating my second business, my first one is successfull, and living very minimally and saving as much as I can without compromising my health :) I think I am on the right way! As I was wallowing in self pity, and reviewing what I thought was the destruction of my life (and watching a LOT of CZcams) I came across your channel. While yes, you have a nice smile and are pretty etc, I find your videos inspirational and motivating. I am in the process of 'taking action' to get out of the dark place that I am in, and where I have been in life. It is not easy when you are starting over. Some days I just sit, but other days are full of productivity and motivation. I hope that when you read this, you will read it with a smile knowing that you have (and still are) making a difference in people's lives. It would be great to see you create a video on the illusion of stability. Traditional workplaces often implicitly offer that illusion to keep you in their orbit - until you are no longer needed. I’ve been fortunate enough to have a nice blended career that allows both freedom and consistency - but I respect that is rare. Encouraging everyone to expand the way they think of work and life is a good thing.
At 64 years old and becoming self employed as a mortgage broker and real estate investor at 36 with a mortgage, wife and two young children at the time was the scariest thing and best thing I ever did! Step One! Your formula works, I am living proof. Great video Sorelle!

I desperately need a video from you that helps people (like me) figure out if they should be doing more budgeting, living below their means, etc, or are actually broke and need to earn more money and invest in the lifestyle that helps them thrive. I earn extremely little money (for mental health related issues) and whenever I hear stuff about saving, living below your means, etc, I feel extremely guilty for every penny I spend EVEN THOUGH I live on a monthly budget of around $200 a month !!! (I'm in Egypt) This has given me EXTREME anxiety over spending, leading me to, at times, starve myself because I can't bring myself to spend a single penny.

Hi Sorelle, I love your vids. My goal was to have my first million by 30. Instead, I drove myself to a Psych hospital for major depression. 30 years later, I’m living in my dream vacation spot right in a forest a mile from the ocean and nature all around me. I just bought into an online marketing business. First I’m learning the craft. I just pulled out 8k from my 401K to fund the business. I also work in a grocery store 35 hours per week. I feel more alive. My Inner Self is telling me to leave the job…. But, I’m scared I’m nervous, I have been groomed in 45 years of employee mentality. Your channel inspires me. My priority is to “live at the pace of peace” as my spiritual teacher exposes. I found a course in miracles 7 years ago and it brought me out of pain and suffering. Cheers to you. Yes, I was in excellent financial shape before my marriages and soon found out that your spouse needs also to be your business partner with your finances, not your adversary. Hard lesson learnt after two marriages and 6 kids. Starting over again at 64. Now I'm battling with health issues but I won't let that stop me :) I will rebuild!!
I'm very envious of your position but also that you were able to do things like working in pubs. I always struggled with work, both the environment and dealing with people and always got burnt out with no chance of recovery, I found and starting the journey to FIRE at the end of 2018 but really only got one year to push towards it before I became a husk then found out I'm autistic in 2020. My options are severely limited to the point I haven't found a single job advertised that I can apply for. It's something I've learnt impacts nearly every autistic individual. Not just job requirements but the systems in place to eliminate us getting through the application process and then discrimination in job interviews if we even make it that far. I'm so angry at the world, at society, at life. I put more effort, time, energy, everything I had and it will never ever be enough for me to survive. I don't have family to help, the tiny handful of friends I have aren't in a position to help because of what they deal with. Those of us that manage to succeed are in coding and similar jobs but I hate coding, just trying to learn it was beyond me. So what options do autistic people have when trying to build wealth?

I worked my way through the corporate world from the very bottom to being an executive vice president, retired at 47 years of age and went completely independent at that point. Facing the unknown leaving the corporate world was a huge decision, but it was the best move I ever made using my business knowledge for myself. Just like you, I purchased a large ranch and have lived completely independent ever since on my own investment parameters.
We had $100k saved but then we started a business and adopted our son…..brought us literally down to 0 and now we are almost back to $100k plus we have residual income and will be traveling ten months a year in our Motorhome starting in January! We will never be back in the 9-5 job ever again. Plus I’m a stay at home mom……people just have to be willing to make the sacrifices necessary.

Small windfall received by a beloved relative who passed away because of Covid. I am currently in the learning stages but already seeing successes as I steadily recover from mistakes and find the CZcams community a wealth of knowledge. I have only just discovered this feed today and am hopeful as I continue this journey. My goal is growth at which would allow me to help the less fortunate in my own family find comfort from day to day struggles as well as save for my retirement. I gasp when I think of the senseless spending I've done over the last few years in this pursuit of portraying somebody who is "successful" the clothes, hand bags, jewelry, shoes - these things are purposeless and a trap and I am currently working toward reselling and downsizing these useless items and investing them into my growing portfolio. Yeah... Brand clothing, new clothes every month, big expensive furniture, 15$ cocktail parties. It's stupid. You can do it if you have already gotten the money, but at our age: we have to SAVE AND REINVEST our money. Into ourselves, into stock/crypto/assets we understand, into our companies, into our knowledge. The knowledge you can get to with 5 years of hard work is better than anything material you could ever buy
I am a 26 yr old, still living with my parents in Australia. Going to finish my degree in international business next year, and I hope to be able to live overseas for a bit. I've always been a saver, and my parents have always encouraged me to be entrepreneurial and nourish any gifts/passions since I was young. So I've not worked a normal job in my life...gigged as a musician for yrs with my brothers, and have suffered with my mental health the last few years, making it difficult to work. Though in that time, I started making money crafting resin jewellery and upcycling fabrics to sew masks, and selling on places like Etsy and depop. I've saved close 9k, and am at a point where I really wanna get the ball rolling financially to live more freely. I appreciate what you're doing with this channel so much. Thank you! :)

TLDR; she came from a background of well off family members helping her pay "small bills" and have a boyfriend share the food, living, and bedroom with. Giving her the flexibility of saving money. The workforce is not rigged. You get paid and that's it. You managing your money varies. But of course if you're in an expensive city, you will not have the flexibility like this lady has.
Right now, I am saving 10% of my scholarship which is 300 euros. I know that for somebody it is not much but for me, it is a matter that I am able to do that and finally buy my own camera.
Im 50 and it the beginning of my saving journey. I grew up really poor and homeless for almost a year. I started working at 12 so I could eat and purchase things that helped me fit into with my peers. I believed most of my life that this was the way, poor stayed poor and rich got rich. I started to seek out the truth about wealth and discovered we all have it in us to change and live the life we always wanted. Im a late bloomer but I want to show my son and granddaughter the way out of struggle. I love your channel and I am inspired by you and your journey.
First: I adore that bracelet/forearm cuff. It suits you so well. Second: my stage in life is as an employee with an entrepreneur spouse. Its hard for me to imagine what entrepreneurial path I could go as a nurse without breaking laws giving medical advice as a health coach for example. So I'm looking at other paths completely. I love recycling fashion so I have a side hustle selling second hand clothing online. It started as reselling my children's clothes because they grow so fast and other moms needed budget options for the same reason. The time freedom of the side hustle is addictive, but so is the guaranteed income of my job. I'm also considering taking formal courses to be an astrologer because recently it just really excites me and doing readings is not location specific.
I spent the first 8 years out of college valuing relationships and the poor. I made 8k-15k a year. 2020 i made 3k. Ive never used my degree for a job. I have a million skills with my hands, and I’m fairly intelligent and have made money flipping a house and sleeping on the floor. I’m scrappy as it gets. It’s harder to be anything with a family though. When i get heart palpitations i get happy about being relieved from living. Im only 38.

And only in the last few years I’m realizing everything you’re saying in this video. I’m 46 and have $138 in the bank… and now my journey towards wealth begins. I’m grateful because I’m healthy and smart and can figure this out!
I've taken the leap out of my comfy 9-5 job and am now traversing the waters of being in charge of how I creatively make my money. I don't make as much regularly, but damn am I blown away at how much my quality of life has already improved. THE FREEDOM to choose how my time is spent is worth more than all the money in the world. With all of these blessings and challenges, I have almost finishing building my own minimal home (I wish you could see, I feel like you'd love it!) I've been blaming my parents for the same thing, then I realized I am a grown woman, I accept and thank my family for what they gave me, and now I'm going forward finally because I'm not looking at the past anymore. Dear Sorelle, I just discovered your CZcams channel. What a breath of fresh air you are! I've been preaching "Follow The Money" since Nixon and it is just as true today as it was then. I've held a job since I was 12, I am 68 now. I wish I followed your path but I was too afraid to stray from the norm. I am OK and have no desire to be rich, but I want my daughters who are big savers to watch your videos. I would like them to step out and not be distracted by societal norms I was enslaved by. I've heard lobbyists negotiate with politicians to get what they want. We are not represented, we live in a Kleptocracy.

I found out many years ago that if I PAY myself, every paycheck … at least 10%, it adds up quickly, I do not live beyond my means, no credit card debits and for the first time, I am closing in on having $50,000 of liquidity in money that I can invest.

This is a hard truth some cannot understand. It is ok to spend, it is ok to enjoy nice things, it is ok to purchase items and stuff and experiences that will make you happy or enhance your life. Life is literally about balance. If you can balance your finances you are in the upper percentile of the population.
I’m a healer and just starting to dip my toes into making that a profession. I’m taking it slow right now because it is of utmost importance that I caretake the authentic inspiration that fuels this, and allow finances to be the side effect of following my ikigai. Honestly, the biggest problem i see with people who are "broke" all the time is that they simply spend too much money for things that they don't actually need. They spend based on emotional wants. The 2nd problem is that they dont work enough. For some, 32 hours a week is just too much.
I am going to start a landscaping business next season, and I know I am a skilled maker, but the estimations on time, material and bidding is difficult to wrap my head around. There are so many types of soil. I hope to eventually transfer this skill set into managerial/education and then pivot to 'landscape architecture'.
I am in my young twenties learning how to take myself seriously I think?? I’ve been building up my skillset of multimedia and social media knowledge for the last 5+ years and within the last year am realizing how valuable and built of a skillset I have. I think I often run into “imposter syndrome” and feelings of not being worthy that stop me from going full force. But I am learning each day how to re wire my brain. I have not worked full time since I began working at age 16. It’s too exhausting and I get far too apathetic when I find myself working for others for that long. I am still learning how to not spend money where it does not need to go- thrift stores and (wholesome but out of budget) food are my favorite splurges. I aim to save up my first 100k in 3 years and am constantly inspired by these videos. Thank you for all you do!!!

I don't know if I can put into words what this meant to me Sorelle, but I will try... I have been an entrepreneur my entire life as a musician and event producer and then the pandemic... so I pivoted to real estate since I've had my license for a long time for investments. This past year as a full time Realtor in a very competitive area (Long Beach CA) has been harrowing with lessons. The learning curve on marketing has been an unbelievable amount of trial and error. Today while I am sleep deprived and doubting myself because I had to re-tool my marketing machine once again, I took great comfort in hearing your words about trial and error. Seeing where that has taken you, have given me SUCH a beautiful gift of hope Sorelle. I am grateful beyond words. Last year, I started doubling down on trying to save money and I studied finances several days a week through CZcams and articles online. In 6 months, through budgeting and investing, I had saved up $15k. As a 22 year old in college I was incredibly proud of myself. Once summer came I was so excited to see my hometown friends and have this financial freedom that I ended up spending every single penny and then some. I did incredible things, a ton of traveling and had an absolute blast, but was left feeling empty and extremely disappointed in myself, not to mention I had gotten myself into some really unfortunate situations because I couldn't afford food or a place to live. I am now back on track and learning how to not make the same mistakes I had before. I love your videos because they are showing me that having wealth doesn't mean having the ability to SPEND tons of money. My original philosophy was that if I had enough money I could buy and do anything I wanted, but I am now realizing how much more I care about being able to treat my body fairly and enjoy life with less stress. For the past two months I have been living with enough things to fit into one checked bag sized suitcase and I have never been happier. Having less things has made me appreciate all that I have so much more and I LOVE everything I own dearly as opposed to having a closet full of clothes I never wear or gadgets I never use that clutter up my space and mind. I'm still figuring it out, but I feel so confident that I can do this!

You’ve essentially made your fortune from online content creation and having an online audience. You can’t see how people “can’t” earn money online, because of your naturally screwed viewpoint. For those of us ten+ years older than you, at the tail end of analog culture, a lot of us had to take part in other strategies, including the lie of college, to earn a living and we’re in that weird process of having to undue all that mess. We’re a little later to navigating the online money world. And I’m only speaking for a group of us in that age group, not all. Either way, thank you for your inspiring content.

I’ve just discovered your channel - great to hear your success and freedom story ! I knew from my early days I didn’t want to work for someone or a company 9-5 but I was from lower income working class family - don’t ever knock it because it taught me to work hard and if you want something then YOU have to go get it ! I got a trade, worked hard, bought property and made some money by the time I was 30 however I took a couple years out and then had a family then was caught in the 2008 financial collapse so almost back to square 1 ! however as I always say ‘effort = reward’ so I got my head down again and now own several properties and am financially independent - I still go to work every day but start when I want, finish when I want, holiday when I want, never miss my kids events. I honestly believe anyone can make it if they work hard and use your money wisely instead of wasting it on crap you don’t need !

As an RN for over ten years, I can openly say, healthcare is a racket made to make corporate dicks wealthy while burdening the staff with unrealistic working conditions that drive people to suicide ! I have known nurses who have done it due to unrelenting stress, anxiety and toxic work environment.

This video was so wonderful and affirming as I ended up in a good paying IT job that valued my entrepreneurial ideas. I always have lived below my means, and started at 32, finally investing in my retirement accounts. I was able to retire at 61 with 1.7 million dollars, own nothing, and have zero debt. One tip l can give others is that every month, I tracked my net worth and had savings goals. Even at my highest earning years, I just saved more...as I say, just want what you already have, and of course, know what you have.

I’m 30 years old working full time after having spend 4 years as a freelance Motion Designer, and having a failed e-commerce brand take off. I’ve learnt and realized the importance of cash flow and capital. And am currently building myself up again working full time in an advertising agency to save money & hopefully reach $100k before quitting my job to run my own business again by 2025. I don’t regret quitting my job going freelance because it taught me so much about the struggles of running your own business and I guess now I have a more matured mindset if I start things again.

Hi Sorelle! I’m 27 and I almost have $100k in savings - feels strange to disclose that here! No one in my life really knows 😳 but it seems like I’m so far away from where you are at! Miles and miles away. The issue is that I don’t know what to do with it, I’m just used to trading time for money. But keeping on like that forever is unrealistic, I don’t have enough free time. I am searching for what I should be doing already, what the next step is but feel quite lost. Maybe I’m overlooking some obvious tips?
Keep about 40k for rainy days. Invest 20k in crypto, 10k in stocks, 10k in state bonds, 10k in metals. That way the money doesn't get hit by inflation. Make sure you know what you are doing with the stocks/bonds/crypto. If you invest your money conservatively, you'll grow the money you already have. Now think about what you're doing in life, and what you could be doing to make your life better. Can you do the job you're currently doing while being more independent and more free? What would you like to add in your life? Which things in your life help making you comfortable, but aren't that necessary at all? Remove them. And keep on watching videos like this and other financial positive channels. You'll find your way, we're young!

I'm mid 40s and knew as a teenager this life is too easily finished, unexpected can always happen, so go for what may make me happy - Travel. Live SUPER simple, without anything extra when I made almost nothing but skimp and save and travelled. Didn't have the funds for gear but always wanted to do youtube more (my channel goes waaaaay back) - so now that my little business is making a bit of money I'm investing in the gear and hoping to play with videos and editing more. ADHD life totally solo sure makes for challenges but... it's fun! Every rabbit hole I go down to learn from in my adhd interests just adds to my abilities. So far I've acquired some valuable transferable skills such as communication for work, critical thinking, feedback evaluation as well as how decisions are made. I am able to question and also negotiate necessary outcomes. I feel as though I have enough skills to be able to earn good income, however, the only thing I need now is to invest these skills in a passion project. 45 & just turned everything around last two years. Shoveling money into retirement, decluttered almost everything & became minimalists and created and stuck to a budget. Soooooo difficult with a huge family and a lifetime of living insanely above our means, but it’s possible, so worth it & we are very proud of ourselves, finally.

Don't do what I did. I'm 53, in debt, have to work 48 hours per week, get up at 3am. I live from monthly pay to monthly pay. One month away from the street. PLAN for your future while you are young and don't think you can do it later. I am angry at myself every day for not doing what I should have done. In my defence, there was no such training when I was a kid. NOBODY told you to save for your future. SAVE. Don't be that person that spends the second half of their life in misery.

Damn. You put into words EVERYTHING that I had experienced and went through! Totally Nailed it! After almost four years since leaving the traditional workforce, I'm a van-lifer and am currently sitting with just under 34k in savings... but it is all mine! I have always been a minimalist my entire life, raised by a "settle with poverty" family, where I was the first to receive a diploma in almost 125 years. The blue collar workforce and government supplement aid was very much present in my family history. They are hard-working folks but always kept their head down, never making and risking for a dream. I am the first to break from that molded tradition at the age of 47. Shoot ... I didn't mean for this to become a rant. Great video. BIG thumbs up!

However, I like to think that the universe favors the foolish because I seem to have been provided for. There was truly only one way to go in my situation: up. I'm not living like a hog and I don't spend beyond my means. I'm rich with experience, I shoot stock images of from all over and I'm okay with that.

I will give this a shot with a few videos and see if it would be a better fit for me.

While yes, you have a nice smile and are pretty etc, I find your videos inspirational and motivating. I am in the process of 'taking action' to get out of the dark place that I am in, and where I have been in life. It is not easy when you are starting over. Some days I just sit, but other days are full of productivity and motivation. I earn extremely little money (for mental health related issues) and whenever I hear stuff about saving, living below your means, etc, I feel extremely guilty for every penny I spend EVEN THOUGH I live on a monthly budget of around $200 a month !!! (I'm in Egypt)
This has given me EXTREME anxiety over spending, leading me to, at times, starve myself because I can't bring myself to spend a single penny.

Hi Sorelle, I love your vids. My goal was to have my first million by 30. Instead, I drove myself to a Psych hospital for major depression. 30 years later, I’m living in my dream vacation spot right in a forest a mile from the ocean and nature all around me. I just bought into an online marketing business. First I’m learning the craft. I just pulled out 8k from my 401K to fund the business. I also work in a grocery store 35 hours per week.
I feel more alive. My Inner Self is telling me to leave the job…. But,
I’m scared I’m nervous, I have been groomed in 45 years of employee mentality. Your channel inspires me. My priority is to “live at the pace of peace” as my spiritual teacher exposes. I found a course in miracles 7 years ago and it brought me out of pain and suffering.

Yes, I was in excellent financial shape before my marriages and soon found out that your spouse needs also to be your business partner with your finances, not your adversary. Hard lesson learnt after two marriages and 6 kids. Starting over again at 64. Now I'm battling with health issues but I won't let that stop me :) I will rebuild!!
I'm very envious of your position but also that you were able to do things like working in pubs.
I always struggled with work, both the environment and dealing with people and always got burnt out with no chance of recovery, I found and starting the journey to FIRE at the end of 2018 but really only got one year to push towards it before I became a husk then found out I'm autistic in 2020.
My options are severely limited to the point I haven't found a single job advertised that I can apply for.
It's something I've learnt impacts nearly every autistic individual. Not just job requirements but the systems in place to eliminate us getting through the application process and then discrimination in job interviews if we even make it that far.
I'm so angry at the world, at society, at life. I put more effort, time, energy, everything I had and it will never ever be enough for me to survive.
I don't have family to help, the tiny handful of friends I have aren't in a position to help because of what they deal with.
Those of us that manage to succeed are in coding and similar jobs but I hate coding, just trying to learn it was beyond me.
So what options do autistic people have when trying to build wealth?
For me, it’s all about the feeling of reclaiming the liberty to do what I want, when I want. I own my own construction company and the demand is INTENSE but it’s so worth it!

i feel the exact same way, although it's hard for me, to resist some of the things my parents could not afford. glad to know i'm not the only one.
I worked my way through the corporate world from the very bottom to being an executive vice president, retired at 47 years of age and went completely independent at that point. Facing the unknown leaving the corporate world was a huge decision, but it was the best move I ever made using my business knowledge for myself. Just like you, I purchased a large ranch and have lived completely independent ever since on my own investment parameters.
We had $100k saved but then we started a business and adopted our son…..brought us literally down to 0 and now we are almost back to $100k plus we have residual income and will be traveling ten months a year in our Motorhome starting in January! We will never be back in the 9-5 job ever again. Plus I’m a stay at home mom……people just have to be willing to make the sacrifices necessary.

Small windfall received by a beloved relative who passed away because of Covid. I am currently in the learning stages but already seeing successes as I steadily recover from mistakes and find the CZcams community a wealth of knowledge. I have only just discovered this feed today and am hopeful as I continue this journey. My goal is growth at which would allow me to help the less fortunate in my own family find comfort from day to day struggles as well as save for my retirement. I gasp when I think of the senseless spending I've done over the last few years in this pursuit of portraying somebody who is "successful" the clothes, hand bags, jewelry, shoes - these things are purposeless and a trap and I am currently working toward reselling and downsizing these useless items and investing them into my growing portfolio. Yeah... Brand clothing, new clothes every month, big expensive furniture, 15$ cocktail parties. It's stupid. You can do it if you have already gotten the money, but at our age: we have to SAVE AND REINVEST our money. The knowledge you can get to with 5 years of hard work is better than anything material you could ever buy
I am a 26 yr old, still living with my parents in Australia. Going to finish my degree in international business next year, and I hope to be able to live overseas for a bit. I've always been a saver, and my parents have always encouraged me to be entrepreneurial and nourish any gifts/passions since I was young. So I've not worked a normal job in my life...gigged as a musician for yrs with my brothers, and have suffered with my mental health the last few years, making it difficult to work. Though in that time, I started making money crafting resin jewellery and upcycling fabrics to sew masks, and selling on places like Etsy and depop. TLDR; she came from a background of well off family members helping her pay "small bills" and have a boyfriend share the food, living, and bedroom with. Giving her the flexibility of saving money. The workforce is not rigged. You get paid and that's it. You managing your money varies. But of course if you're in an expensive city, you will not have the flexibility like this lady has.
Right now, I am saving 10% of my scholarship which is 300 euros. I know that for somebody it is not much but for me, it is a matter that I am able to do that and finally buy my own camera.

Im 50 and it the beginning of my saving journey. I grew up really poor and homeless for almost a year. I started working at 12 so I could eat and purchase things that helped me fit into with my peers. I believed most of my life that this was the way, poor stayed poor and rich got rich. I started to seek out the truth about wealth and discovered we all have it in us to change and live the life we always wanted. Im a late bloomer but I want to show my son and granddaughter the way out of struggle. I love your channel and I am inspired by you and your journey.

Second: my stage in life is as an employee with an entrepreneur spouse. Its hard for me to imagine what entrepreneurial path I could go as a nurse without breaking laws giving medical advice as a health coach for example. So I'm looking at other paths completely. I love recycling fashion so I have a side hustle selling second hand clothing online. It started as reselling my children's clothes because they grow so fast and other moms needed budget options for the same reason. The time freedom of the side hustle is addictive, but so is the guaranteed income of my job. I'm also considering taking formal courses to be an astrologer because recently it just really excites me and doing readings is not location specific.

My parents are blue collar and thought it was a good idea to get me working when I was 14 so that I could learn how to work hard and long days. This became my life. And only in the last few years I’m realizing everything you’re saying in this video. I’m 46 and have $138 in the bank… and now my journey towards wealth begins. I've taken the leap out of my comfy 9-5 job and am now traversing the waters of being in charge of how I creatively make my money. I don't make as much regularly, but damn am I blown away at how much my quality of life has already improved. THE FREEDOM to choose how my time is spent is worth more than all the money in the world. With all of these blessings and challenges, I have almost finishing building my own minimal home (I wish you could see, I feel like you'd love it!) Very close to eradicating my personal debt, happily learning everything I can about wealth creation and sustainability, and finding more fire babes like me (excusez-moi, fire babes like US!) that are rising up! *wiggles booty*

Hi Sorelle! I'm living in Rural Victoria and am a Police officer and can't see myself working this job for the rest of my life. I love photography, even though I am still learning, and hope to gain financial freedom to be able to travel and take photos where ever and when ever I want. I've been blaming my parents for the same thing, then I realized I am a grown woman, I accept and thank my family for what they gave me, and now I'm going forward finally because I'm not looking at the past anymore. (My fam also is not great at saving at all) I'm Mexican. Can I just tell you how wonderful your country is? I love Mexico but finance culture is not our forte. haha if I got 10k in a year (trying to double or triple that in less time next year) in my country you can do it too!

I just discovered your CZcams channel. What a breath of fresh air you are! I've been preaching "Follow The Money" since Nixon and it is just as true today as it was then. I've held a job since I was 12, I am 68 now. I wish I followed your path but I was too afraid to stray from the norm. I am OK and have no desire to be rich, but I want my daughters who are big savers to watch your videos. I would like them to step out and not be distracted by societal norms I was enslaved by. I've heard lobbyists negotiate with politicians to get what they want. We are not represented, we live in a Kleptocracy.

I found out many years ago that if I PAY myself, every paycheck … at least 10%, it adds up quickly, I do not live beyond my means, no credit card debits and for the first time, I am closing in on having $50,000 of liquidity in money that I can invest.
I'm older and I'm at the beginning of my savings towards being financially indenpendent. I've worked a few jobs in my life for other people and I've never enjoyed it. This is a hard truth some cannot understand. It is ok to spend, it is ok to enjoy nice things, it is ok to purchase items and stuff and experiences that will make you happy or enhance your life. Life is literally about balance. If you can balance your finances you are in the upper percentile of the population.
I’m a healer and just starting to dip my toes into making that a profession. I’m taking it slow right now because it is of utmost importance that I caretake the authentic inspiration that fuels this, and allow finances to be the side effect of following my ikigai.

Honestly, the biggest problem i see with people who are "broke" all the time is that they simply spend too much money for things that they don't actually need. They spend based on emotional wants.
The 2nd problem is that they dont work enough. For some, 32 hours a week is just too much.
I am going to start a landscaping business next season, and I know I am a skilled maker, but the estimations on time, material and bidding is difficult to wrap my head around. There are so many types of soil. I hope to eventually transfer this skill set into managerial/education and then pivot to 'landscape architecture'.

I am in my young twenties learning how to take myself seriously I think?? I’ve been building up my skillset of multimedia and social media knowledge for the last 5+ years and within the last year am realizing how valuable and built of a skillset I have. I think I often run into “imposter syndrome” and feelings of not being worthy that stop me from going full force. But I am learning each day how to re wire my brain. I have not worked full time since I began working at age 16. It’s too exhausting and I get far too apathetic when I find myself working for others for that long. I am still learning how to not spend money where it does not need to go- thrift stores and (wholesome but out of budget) food are my favorite splurges. I aim to save up my first 100k in 3 years and am constantly inspired by these videos. Thank you for all you do!!!

I have been an entrepreneur my entire life as a musician and event producer and then the pandemic... so I pivoted to real estate since I've had my license for a long time for investments. This past year as a full time Realtor in a very competitive area (Long Beach CA) has been harrowing with lessons. The learning curve on marketing has been an unbelievable amount of trial and error. Today while I am sleep deprived and doubting myself because I had to re-tool my marketing machine once again, I took great comfort in hearing your words about trial and error. Last year, I started doubling down on trying to save money and I studied finances several days a week through CZcams and articles online. In 6 months, through budgeting and investing, I had saved up $15k. As a 22 year old in college I was incredibly proud of myself. Once summer came I was so excited to see my hometown friends and have this financial freedom that I ended up spending every single penny and then some. I did incredible things, a ton of traveling and had an absolute blast, but was left feeling empty and extremely disappointed in myself, not to mention I had gotten myself into some really unfortunate situations because I couldn't afford food or a place to live. I am now back on track and learning how to not make the same mistakes I had before. I love your videos because they are showing me that having wealth doesn't mean having the ability to SPEND tons of money. My original philosophy was that if I had enough money I could buy and do anything I wanted, but I am now realizing how much more I care about being able to treat my body fairly and enjoy life with less stress. For the past two months I have been living with enough things to fit into one checked bag sized suitcase and I have never been happier. Having less things has made me appreciate all that I have so much more and I LOVE everything I own dearly as opposed to having a closet full of clothes I never wear or gadgets I never use that clutter up my space and mind. I'm still figuring it out, but I feel so confident that I can do this!

You’ve essentially made your fortune from online content creation and having an online audience. You can’t see how people “can’t” earn money online, because of your naturally screwed viewpoint. For those of us ten+ years older than you, at the tail end of analog culture, a lot of us had to take part in other strategies, including the lie of college, to earn a living and we’re in that weird process of having to undue all that mess. We’re a little later to navigating the online money world. And I’m only speaking for a group of us in that age group, not all.

I knew from my early days I didn’t want to work for someone or a company 9-5 but I was from lower income working class family - don’t ever knock it because it taught me to work hard and if you want something then YOU have to go get it ! I got a trade, worked hard, bought property and made some money by the time I was 30 however I took a couple years out and then had a family then was caught in the 2008 financial collapse so almost back to square 1 ! however as I always say ‘effort = reward’ so I got my head down again and now own several properties and am financially independent - I still go to work every day but start when I want, finish when I want, holiday when I want, never miss my kids events. I honestly believe anyone can make it if they work hard and use your money wisely instead of wasting it on crap you don’t need !

I’m turning 40 this year and worked very hard to get out of credit card debt. This video was so wonderful and affirming as I ended up in a good paying IT job that valued my entrepreneurial ideas. I always have lived below my means, and started at 32, finally investing in my retirement accounts. I was able to retire at 61 with 1.7 million dollars, own nothing, and have zero debt. One tip l can give others is that every month, I tracked my net worth and had savings goals. Even at my highest earning years, I just saved more...as I say, just want what you already have, and of course, know what you have.
I've been running my own business for 8 years and have the freedom to live where I want, with time to rest, enjoy my friendships and be creative, while doing work I feel matters. I've been on the roller coaster of saving, then getting into debt because of a difficult marriage and divorce and am inspired by your videos as I build my savings and am about to take the plunge into investing. I want to own permaculture properties that provide opportunities for others to gain skills and find their own abundance. I’m 30 years old working full time after having spend 4 years as a freelance Motion Designer, and having a failed e-commerce brand take off. I’ve learnt and realized the importance of cash flow and capital. And am currently building myself up again working full time in an advertising agency to save money & hopefully reach $100k before quitting my job to run my own business again by 2025. I don’t regret quitting my job going freelance because it taught me so much about the struggles of running your own business and I guess now I have a more matured mindset if I start things again.

I really find myself in your personality, your ambitions, your views on life, money, business and watching all your videos helps me a lot to know that there are other people with this mindset all over the world, which is very refreshing to know! I am living in a small and lets say conservative country and literally strugle to show and prove the people around me that this is how life should be - work for yourself, value your time, understand how money, governments and businesses work in order to understand society and life better. But I guess people are too lazy to take things in their hands and prefer to enjoy the comfort of ignorance and I guess that is why they are easily ruled, due to lack of selfimprovement, education and information (which they can receive by themselves at any time, especially with the access to internet).

The issue is that I don’t know what to do with it, I’m just used to trading time for money. But keeping on like that forever is unrealistic, I don’t have enough free time. I am searching for what I should be doing already, what the next step is but feel quite lost. Maybe I’m overlooking some obvious tips?
Keep about 40k for rainy days. Invest 20k in crypto, 10k in stocks, 10k in state bonds, 10k in metals. That way the money doesn't get hit by inflation. Make sure you know what you are doing with the stocks/bonds/crypto. If you invest your money conservatively, you'll grow the money you already have.
Now think about what you're doing in life, and what you could be doing to make your life better. Can you do the job you're currently doing while being more independent and more free? What would you like to add in your life? Which things in your life help making you comfortable, but aren't that necessary at all? Remove them. And keep on watching videos like this and other financial positive channels. You'll find your way, we're young!

I'm mid 40s and knew as a teenager this life is too easily finished, unexpected can always happen, so go for what may make me happy - Travel. Live SUPER simple, without anything extra when I made almost nothing but skimp and save and travelled. Didn't have the funds for gear but always wanted to do youtube more (my channel goes waaaaay back) - so now that my little business is making a bit of money I'm investing in the gear and hoping to play with videos and editing more. ADHD life totally solo sure makes for challenges but... it's fun! Every rabbit hole I go down to learn from in my adhd interests just adds to my abilities. And I've travelled about 14 years of actual travel time, about 65 countries, solo, often with the tiniest amounts of money (and a tend on my back).
And now starting to save bigger, and get to do more... So... here's hoping my sorta broken body holds up for it!
