  • A 57' narrowboat powered purely by solar energy on her maiden voyage down the Thames, London. Look out for her boat along her final destination - the Grand Union Canal in England.

Solar 16, is going to be a 57ft narrowboat, powered by solar with a wind turbine for backup support [if needed in the winter months]. To complement the ECO credentials, we will be harvesting the canal water using 3 filters and a UV light. Plus the usual Thames Solar Electric - triple glazed windows and doors, triple the thickness of the insulation. Thanks for taking on our dream, Ryan. Thanks to the Liverpool team, whom are currently busy banging our steel into a narrowboat.

My absolute dream is to be a full time live aboard on fully electric norrow boat when I return from New Zealand next year. So fingers crossed you'll be making a 57 footer by then

Is there a video, or photos of the interior? Or what technologies are onboard, compared to your widebeam?
