you're the man Ron...i still struggle with this hood...but i will look at this and tackle my new ford f150 later this week....thanks again!!
Great work! I love the adhesion promoter on those two areas on the back of the hood. I’ve often had this issue before of f-150/250 hoods.
Sir Mashallah, thank you very good people.
so would love to learn this
Back in September 2018 I did PPF on a Platinum. It wasn't full hood, just 18" up, but , yep those valleys are killer to work with. The hood tho is easy compared to the bumper!!!!!!! I struggled getting it to lay in the compound corners.
First of all, I want thank you for starting this youtube channel. You are very good at explaining the process and teaching.
Where can I get the adhesive promoter and water Squeegee?
You can find the adhesive promoter on Amazon or any vinyl supply site. Just be sure to only use Pro Bond. The 3M it really to agressive.
Awesome video. How do you prep your hood and edges before applying the film?
I’ve done dozens of these hoods and I scrub the paint really well with my 99% iso. I then scrub the valleys in the hood extra thoroughly. As for the edges, 99% iso scrub works great.
What adhesive promoter do you uses I’ve notice the one I use sometimes it will leave it kinda dirty looking underneath almost like it ruined the clear of the ppf
I'm guessing this has been edited to remove all of the expletives!
I know I'd sure have a few if I did this job.
Sir which brand ppf do you use...
Where at in texas?
great video my good sir! whats your mixture for the slip solution?
We use 3 gallon sprayers. Mixed with 3/4 of an oz of Joy Ultra.
Fuck it I’m doing my hood tomorrow
What is your slip solution ratio ?
We use 1/2 an oz of Joy Ultra as our slip. This is in a 3 gallon keg sprayer
We need job do you help us
