Its great that you have the new wiper motor.
I let my last moggy go in 1999. I am looking at being another now and am becoming aware that some parts are now much more difficult to get hold of......Even tyres!!!!
I recon you do well to prime as you go .Keep the air away from that nice rust free steel!!!!
I admire your determination and willingness to learn as you go.You will probably find welding the passenger side much easier after all the practice on the drivers side.

Thanks for your kind words, I really have my heart rather than my head in the car. Having owned it so long from such a young age it feels like my responsibility to keep it going. Parts aren't too hard, it all depends on how original you want it to be. Many parts were used on lots of different cars so there is a natural demand for a lot of them. Even if I didn't have a spare wiper motor I could have fixed the old one as it is so simple, or even fitted a different motor from something like a mini. Sadly there are always scrap Morris Minors going for spares, so it can sometimes be cost effective to buy a donor car. Fingers crossed the other side will be easier and a better finish! Thanks again.
