  • Chasing the visiting woodburners from Nevada, 4-4-0 Eureka and 2-6-0 Glenbrook, from Chama up to Lobato and Cumbres Pass and during the 2021 Victorian Iron Horse Steam Roundup on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. Also features footage of the newly restored D&RGW 168 and backdated 425 (originally 315).
    Important note: all ground-level shots filmed remotely near or beneath the tracks and ties were obtained with permission, coordinated in a safe manner, and secured properly. Always film responsibly when near heavy equipment.

    Two wood burners doing what they were made to do, Glorious! I fuel my live steamer on wood. I had to make a effective spark arrestor. Having seen a photo of Glenbrook in the 1920's as a derelict hulk, this is fantastic.

      this is not a tank engine as it has tenders, these type of locomotive are called "General"
