- Keeping the birthday vlog tradition alive, we headed over to Cannock Chase for a days mountain biking. We started off with a lap of follow the dog, before heading over to the monkey trail for the afternoon. It was a lot better on full sus bikes, than the hardtails we rode around here last time! I'd fully recommend a midweek session when it's dry- all of the fun with non of the crowds.

Next time park at Marquis Drive if you want to avoid parking charges (like a mile from there and also has a cafe). Easy to jump onto follow the dog from there too! Ace to see a vid of my local trails. You're right as well as devils staircase has been updated quite recently as well as a few other sections!
Will definitely have to park there- thanks! There also looked like a pretty new trail very close to completion? All machine built, which seems a pretty good reason to go back again soon.

Great video!! Haven't been to Cannock for ages! It looks so different to when I was there. You had great weather as well!! Good rising mate, how did your leg feel after the ride?

Yeah I think they've done a heck of a lot of trail development there - there was also a very exciting looking trail which I'm guessing will open in the summer, more of a blue so that there's something for everyone. Funnily enough I can ride as much as I want and it doesn't hurt at all- it's just running, although it seems like it's actually sorted itself out now!
with all the trees being cut at cannock its becoming unpleasant to ride the trail!

Yeah looks like devils has changed looks alot smoooth. last time i road it was very tech. looks like you can caryy more speed down now
I distinctly remember pretty harsh drops, fairly frequently- a thing of the past now! and yeah much more speed
