Strawberry Plant Growing Time Lapse - Seed To Fruit (95 Days)

- Ever try to grow strawberry from a seed to harvests, this time lapse covered the full life cycle of a strawberry plant over 95 days span.
We started with a seed of Alpine strawberry variety, sowed and grew it in a clay container with typical potting-mixes. It started sprouting and developing leaves after a couple of weeks. By the 42nd day, first blooming was observed. From there on, hand-pollination could be carried out, but was delayed until the 62nd day on the later batch of flowers. Still, it seems we're successful this round with many strawberry fruits were bearing. - Zábava
I’m currently growing my strawberries and they already got three white flowers, one of them was starting to lose their petals, but after seeing this, it’s good to know that it means that strawberries are coming soon~ 🍓🍓
Usually people don't get that many strawberries in their first year. Very impressive 👍🏾
Yes, thanks. We're surprised too 🍓
Yes😱
Maybe it could be due to him running his grow lights 24/7?
It looks like a different variety
@@the_small_homesteaderyeah it is alpine strawberry wild onrs that grow in forest also lot sweeter than normal one
All of that from just 1 tiny seed. Wow.
I have been growing strawberries for 2 months and they(compared to the ones in the video) look 5 days old🤣🤣😔😔
same here😭 is that normal?
Your the best time lapse youtuber
I wish my seed grown strawberries grew like that! They seem to stay tiny forever!
Great video!
Mine too but after three months how are they?
@@-luana7001 After 3 months ot depends. I even have one that survived sprouting in a pot outside and that plant has been tiny for months. It's probably because Vegas weather is either too hot or too cold. There os very little in between.
OMG!So Many!Wild Strawberry! nice!
Love your videos! Cheers from Japan.
Thanks, glad you like them!
Love it. Thank you for creating it.
Keep doing what your doing 💪🏽 I’m learning and that’s the important thing
Very very good video❤
Looks like an ever bearing variety.
Yea but most likely wild/domestic plant thatd why it might have so much little fruits
There are many questions about the pollination with brush, but cam you please explain exactly how to do it? Do you just brush all the flowers on the plant? Thanks, great vid.
Not all flowers but most of them. It's easy, you just need to gently brush the pollen into the center of flowers.
I got similar kind of plant even before putting the seeds
I just started growing strawberries mines look 5 days old lol but i was wondering what fertilizer you used for them to look this great❤
Imma plant some fruits and veggies just for the heck of it
i planted strawberry seeds 8 months ago, my plants are about 6 inches tall only, never had flowers yet.
dang thats alot of flowers ive grown many strawberry plants never had that many flowers
muito linda a criaçao de Deus
Wowwwww
i love 🍓🍓🍓🍓
Yours are doing well to stay outside of the pot, but I think you could consider a ground cover like straw or wood shavings to protect the berries and leaves from the soil
Wow!
Question, why only pollinate one branch?
We pollinated many of them but only shown one.
Strawberry seed planting❤
Nicer 😮😮😮
Woah so much came from just one seed
It's a will veriety of strawberry
nice i am growing to

Starting winter seasons is the best time to grow strawberries plant
Amazing, what kind camera did you use?
It was a T3i

I have moved my plant into a bigger pot but now it looks limp and lifeless any ideas? This is my first time and my little boy is totally invested in this process I don't want to let him down. They are still inside the house as we have had a frost here in gb should I now put the plant outside? Any help would be greatly appreciated
Why don't You try putting it under regular LED light
@ok-bd6zd thank you
Transplant shock can hurt a plant, though they can recover. How's it doing now?
@drakep271 not good at all it's outside and all droopy and brown leaves. The green shoot is completely limp. Should I bring it back inside?
@@emmarowles2166 🤷♀️ idrk, I'm currently in the process of maybe killing a strawberry plant myself so I'm no expert lmao. Might be good to start some backup plants though in case this one dies, so you and your son can watch those ones instead
Hahaha I thought my strawberry plant was huge and now I realise it's something completely different
How long does it take for them to sprout
The genetic kick in and it goes back to its most stable form. :the woodland one
Looks like you got a spider mite infestation towards the end. It's a shame how common they are in strawberries. You can see them literally suck a leaf until it's brown starting at 1:31.
Wait, they fruit in around just 3 mos from seed? I might try growing them from seed once I get some runners established.
This one was doing exceptionally well. Usually, you don't get much strawberries in the first year, and the ones you do get are fairly small. But they are quite fun to grow.
Wow beatifull
WTH no way! 😮
Are those wild ?
Do you need to brush the pollen on the flowers to then get the strawberries?
If you grow indoors or somewhere lack of pollinators, you will need to hand-pollinate
I bought the plants online. It's says" white alpine strawberry". Got the first fruit, it's... White but I don't know if it's actually ready to pick or not, so I didn't pick it up. Back from school, I just randomly pull out the seeds from the strawberry, I didn't pick the strawberry. Only the seeds, just two seeds. AND NOW, I'm back from school, check my plants as usual, the alpine strawberry turns red, I'm so confused 😀
Btw the seeds are yellow, not red
Is there something wrong with my plants or what? If you know please explain to me 😔
@@lonelydaisy6413 strawberries quickly change color to red, your plant is good and when it turns red then you can remove it, also it doesn't matter that you removed the seeds. I love that strawberries bear fruit again every year
@@lolBird746 thank you, but sadly it's dead now :')
@@lonelydaisy6413dang what happened 😂
did you have to manually pollinate it?
Yes, it was done at the day 62nd
I would like to grow this
I've tried several times but nothing happened! I don't know what I messed up.
I have a sprout right now and i notice that it's stem is super long... why is that?
Why is my strawberry plant only has afew leaves/stem? When new leaves comes out, the old leaves in botton dies and the maximum leaves my strawberry has is around 4-7 leaves
Im not a profession but here are a few things that I suspect may affect this:
- is the pot/space big enough?
- is the plant in a space with a lot of sun?
- does it get the correct nutrients? water included
if bottom leaves die..no nitrogen..so add a little at a time
Strawberrys make me run
What genus and species is that
you do everyday pollination or just only one time?
We pollinated few of them
When were the strawberries ready to eat?
Some of ripe strawberries at the end of the video were ready to eat. Strawberries fully ripe, when fruits completely change to red.
What have u done using brush? What is it's advantage?
We used the brush for hand-pollinating because this was grown indoor, it lack of pollinators.
@@eLapseTime ok sir, thank u for your prompt reply
@@eLapseTime why is there holes in the leaves?
I have had a strawberry plant growing for 5 years and it only blossomed for the first time this year...
What did you brush on that flower?
The brush was used to pollinate flowers.
@@eLapseTime thank you
@@eLapseTime Where you get the males?
Mine never grew 😢 and it has been more then 10 days
And could you do time lapse of peparomia hope
Maybe, if I can find its seeds.
Thx
Why are the strawberries small? Is it because you didnt use the right fertilizer or sit lack of real sunlight or some other factor?
This was grown from a seed in a small pot, and this was its first year; thus, fruits tended to be small.
My strawberry seed never sprouts.
Idea: Can you plant a Colocasia Illustris, African Milk Tree, or a Syngonium Arrow?
I already planted some types of colocasia. African milk tree looks interesting. Let's see, I can find any seeds :)
@@eLapseTimedid you find any seeds?
One seed to that is insane😂
Make video with pear time lapse.
It's in process 🍐
Super!
you have a huge bug problem. bake the pot and soil in the oven before planting
Light gear detail sir
#eLapse Is there a difference from a Bulb ?
Yes, tubers/roots will grow faster and produce bigger fruits on the first year.
1:22 jet caterpillar
Does the brush have anything on it?
Nope!
Oh ok thank you! :D
Also do you know when I should hand pollinate?
We do it, whenever the flowers are fully opened. It's also recommended when the humidity is high, such as afternoon or evening.
Ohh ok thank you so much! :D
how do you pollinate the flowers or do they not need pollination?
We did hand-pollination. You can see it at the 62nd day.
so that’s what it was, thanks :)
OMG Flowers into strawberries💀
Yes, because when You plant some fruits there Will be flowers, Then after some days the flowers Will be gone and Then the fruits Grow
А как же всякие жучки паучки падкие до рассады
