Just got a bag of your fertilizer and repotted my pre bonsai Japanese maple 2.5weeks ago just waiting for the first growth of the season . Do I have to dust the fertilizer on the soil or could I also put it inside fertilizer baskets . By the way love your soil mix it looks great and doesn’t wash away like some of the stuff readily available in my area here in Connecticut .
I planted a blue jacaranda in september 2020 and it is groing nicely. I have been paciently waiting for it. But it occured to me that maybe i can use some fertilizer to help it grow faster. At what age of the bonsai would you recommend starting to fertilize?

What NPK ratio of fertilizer should I use? I have a ficus, a juniper and a Japanese maple. It's September in Houston, TX USA by the way. Average temperature now is 80+ during the day and 60+ at night.
Hi, if you are in the training face use this type of fertilizer, 18-4-10 on all of your trees. Once you are in the ramification stage with you maple and juniper, switch to a lower number fertilizer. We simply went nuts buying bonsais and now I am worrying about how to care for them so they don't die. I'd love to send a photo but I guess CZcams doesn't allow that.

I know you can buy the big bags on Amazon under bonsai supply store. It’s the same price as if you buy from bonsai store in Fort Lauderdale and if you have Prime I believe it’s free shipping.

When u want to grow moss on bonsai plant ,the fertilizer normally burns it.

Thanks for answering 👍. I have another question I have a Juniper and Chinese elm bonsai and im here in Florida as well, now I don’t know what to do when it comes with rain. As you know it rains a lot here, is ok to leave the bonsai outside in the rain?? The problem is i have a place to protect them from the rain but they will get no sun. Thanks again
@@ja_vlogs4064 As long as your bonsais are in good bonsai soil such as ours, your trees can't get overwatered. You can then leave them in rain without any problems
