It´s only my impression that SOA have the most quality soundtracks of all series of all time? They seemed to be written purposely for each episode :) Love this serie!!
Yea, if you stay away from the major commercial labels and their 'created' pop star/auto tune nonsense, there is still so much awe-inspiring music being created every day. Sometimes one just has to do a bit of digging and stay away from the beaten path, so to speak. But truth be told, it has always been that way. For example, I remember how people would bemoan that the Seventies was the worst decade EVER for decent music, but there were incredible artists writing and performing amazing stuff during those years. One just had to step away from the mainstream a bit. I really admire how music directors of shows like this manage to research and find just the right songs. The work and dedication it must take!
