1984, I was swinging on a rope swing. Sixth grade. This swing was positioned over a steep hillside. I flew off over the hill, highest drop point/distance. The back of my skull was instantly fractured in a capital Y shape. I was delirious for four hours or so, still awake but totally out of my mind. I came to in the ER, after the docs left. Saw my father in the room. He told me what happened. Several days later I was wheeled down to the X-ray dept. Santa Teresa, south San Jose, Ca. I waited for an eternity in a vacant hallway. Eventually was taken up to the seventh floor. A top Neurosurgeon was in my room speaking to my parents. He asked how many people were praying for me. The entire Catholic school I attended was praying every morning for me. The Halo that was soon to be drilled and attached to my skull was no longer required. My skull grew back totally! Still was extremely sore. Would cringe if anyone was remotely close to my head. Was released about two days later. The last brain damage never left but…. Miracles do happen. To this day and every day they happen. Amen. This story is 100% true. I think depression has been a lingering side affect, still bald at point of impact. Still have a sore spot if touched. 1024,April. Thank God and the angels. At one point I was at Alexian Brothers Hospital in the Fremont area of N. Cal. Don’t quite remember at what point.

Tonight we had Kevin Becker and his mother Jeanmarie speak to our 7th and 8th grade students.... you could hear a pin drop as Kevin and Jeanmarie spoke of his miraculous recovery. Pier Giorgio, pray for us!
Our main source is Jesus Christ. He's our healer our miracle maker. Even Mary needed a Savior that would be her son Jesus Christ. Hallelujah to the lamb of God

The deep concern for the poor and the needy up until the time that he is about to die (the time that Pier reminded his friend not to forget to give the medicine to this particular person) is the most that impresses me. I will pray for your canonization Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati.
Another thing amazing about this family is the closeness of their family, not just the nuclear family but extended family as well like aunts and cousins.
Catholics only worship God but we can pray to the saints to intercede for us

When my firstborn son died in a drowning accident the doctors worked on him for two hours to bring him back. All the time that they were working on him I begged God don't let him die don't take him from me and then the thought hit me if they bring him back he would be so brain damaged he would be a vegetable. Thankfully God took him home. This was many years ago and I have more Times than I can count that I still had him. I was selfish worrying that he might be a vegetable but it doesn't matter I could still touch him hug him and have him near me, thank you God Thy will be done. Forgive me my selfish thoughts. Amen

Jeanmarie Becker I ask you then to pray for my father. His name is Rafael Hernández. We lost my mom last year, and we still making our way through this different life. I want us to become a stronger family, one rooted in the love of our Lord. I pray that Pier Giorgio will intercede for us.

Don't these people know we can pray to god/Jesus directly so there's no reason to pray to saints. Our Lord hears our prayers no matter what..I'm protestants Christian not catholic..
Rebbie Swift Catholics know that God will hear our prayers no matter what, however they also believe in the power of prayer and prayer in numbers. Have you ever asked a friend or family member to pray for you? That’s what this is, asking a saint, someone who is closer to god than we, to intercede on our behalf, to pray for us to The Lord. There is nothing wrong with this practice. Before you judge Catholics for their beliefs and practices, I suggest you look into it first to understand it. Then you can decide whether or not it worth being judgmental or not.
