Great video! One tip however - add time stamps to your video. It really helps with labeling your content and segments for those looking for something more specific. It would be perfect for this video.
Circle of Fate is Self-Found, but not necessarily solo. You can still group, trade drops within the group if the item dropped in the instance you are in with the party member you want to trade it to, and earn Resonance with other players by playing with them often to make it possible to expend that resonance to trade them (specifically) an item of your choice. I am picking what I start around what my friends are going to start as a support character, since I have been playing longer and have already experienced a lot of different builds. So, it may be a support primalist, sentinel or acolyte, depending on their choices. Though, that does depend a bit on what other support options might open up with the new classes, as well. Primalist or Sentinel are the most likely with Druid or Paladin among those as the subclass choices for the support they bring.
Good call! I should've labeled it better. The resonances are such a great idea, as the thought of playing several hours with a buddy, only for them to go to sleep or work, and then immediately dropping a perfect item for them, sucks.
When i dirst started, i crafted nothing. I ended up with thousands of mats. Best thing i learned playing since Alpha, just use the crafting mats early. It isnt like PoE where you can mess up.
Couldn’t agree more! When I first started, I didn’t use any, but quickly found out that you acquire plenty of resources quickly, especially for common affixes like life, stats, and resistance. Sure, I’ll still little stingy with some of the more rare shards, but no reason to hoard if you need gear upgrades.
I was afraid of using up my mats on crafting for the longest time because I was convinced that I'd need them mid to end game, but then I saw a deep dive into crafting and they said use them as often as you like because the game is very generous with the mats the longer you play. I wish I'd known this early on so I would have stressed about it so much LoL.
You know! My gripe is why does items have to take that MUCH bag space. Perhaps reduce the bag space requirements for items by half. All that space requirements just means that player have to teleport back to town more often and make it tedious collecting material for crafting. I haven't played the game yet, but if the town portal is infinite without having to click on scrolls all the time, then the bag space limit isn't so bad.
I think having different items have different sizes helps keep the "RPG" element in an "ARPG". As in, a ring shouldn't be the same size as a giant polearm. This is one overlooked thing that I think D2 does sooo much better than D4 concerning itemization. As for it being tedious, I don't find it to be a problem in Last Epoch, since the inventory is fairly large compared to say POE or D2. Also, loot filter keeping loot limited and unlimited stash space helps a bunch.
I have had LE on my desktop for ages, but never really played it, as I was always doing D3. I've been rather disappointed with D4 (not alone), and will play on launch. The Hammerdin is appealing, but I want to try the new Warlock mastery first. Probably will do SSF mode. Thank goodness for Maxroll...lol. Great video!
Appreciate it! As an enjoyer of rogue/ranger archetypes in any RPG game, I think I’m sold on starting Falconer now following the release. Warlock looks insane!
I'm learning through the game right now as a Void Sentinel. Having a blast with it and might just do the same character for the release. That or I'll dig through some guides and try out one of the two new masteries that are coming with release. Definitely Circle of Fate/SSF playstyle though.
I’m not 100% sure if you can have say a CoF and merchants guild character on the same account at the same time, but I know it can be changed to the other one anytime. Also, the items that drop will be stamped as such based on which faction you’re apart of when it drops, so I know a CoF item couldn’t be used by a merchants guild character. I do know the faction progression is account wide, so if you roll an alt, you don’t have to start from scratch. I can’t wait to test it all in a few weeks at launch!
As a new player to LE this video is helpful but doesn't go far enough. The loot filter stuff for example. I understand that I should use a loot filter, but I don't know what I'm looking for and thus don't know what to filter out. You suggest importing a filter from maxroll, but I assume those are build dependant and thus makes the presumption that I'm using a build guide. But I'm not, a lot of the content I've seen suggests not to use a build guide and just try work out the game on my own for the best first experience.
Most of the MaxRoll loot filters are just general for whichever base class you're playing. I.e., certain things will be good for rogues, but not for mages, etc. Most of the leveling loot filters aren't overly strict, so they will filter out complete junk, but you also wont miss out on a possible good item, regardless of which of the masteries you pick for that class. Another great option is using LastEpochTools.com. www.lastepochtools.com/loot-filters/
I’d say the best thing you can do is just play the game, and you’ll start getting familiar with the things you’re looking for. For leveling, a few mods to look at for include resistances, life, vitality, and damage modifiers that synergize well with your build. As for what to do with the gear….Anything your loot filter highlights is generally worth looking at. With the unlimited stash space, I generally first look for items that might be good for crafting in the future. Following that, I look to see if the item has any affixes I will want to craft on items later, and if so, hit it with a rune of shattering. Last, if it misses the mark completely, I’d probably just sell to the vendor.
@@TrickGamingTV Shatterings are difficult to come by early game so it's not worth shattering every affix you use for your build. Some like dex, flat health, resistances will be more common on the ground so it's not worth shattering these. Stuff like hybrid health, bow attack speed & crit, ranks to skills are more rare and are worth shattering early.
Soo, they are coming with launch (sorry if that was confusing). My goal was to familiarize beginners with the two factions, so when launch does happen, they already have an idea on which one they want to choose.
It’s a good question, and one I’ve asked myself. I found this on the forums, but nothing was really answered directly from EHG. It's only a one button press and tbh i think if it auto went into the materials section a lot of players won't even remember or think about it. Considering how relevant and important it is - it's a good way to kind of keep it on the players mind.
@@iX3JQthis is a good take. Using the button has become second nature to me and it doesn’t feel like a nuisance to me. I actually find it satisfying when hitting the button and seeing all of the mats get vacuumed up.
@@Lightdark1992fair enough lol. The good thing about EHG that I’ve seen so far, is they are VERY open to player feedback. If enough people desire and request this functionality, I’m sure they’d take a hard look at it.
Not necessarily new classes, but there are a couple of masteries that haven't been released in the beta, that will be available at launch. This includes the Rogue Falconer and Acolyte Warlock. They just released information on the Warlock in the last few days (you find this info on Icy Veins forums). Info on the Falconer is coming in early February!
Sounds like it could a gpu driver thing. A buddy of mine was having the same issue, and he did a clean reinstall of his gpu drivers and it fixed the issue. Could also just simply be needing to update the drivers. I hope you figure out the issue so you can blast for longer than 30 minutes!
Admittedly, I haven’t researched this at all. What I’m seeing is that offline character save files are probably available on your local machine, whereas online character files are not, since they are saved on EHG servers.
New player here. Trying out blade dancer. Wondering if its possible to try to make an ice and fire build or is it better to focus on just one skill lets say ice.
I would say when starting out it probably makes sense to specialize in one, because it’s then easier to scale the damage with +cold or +fire damage affixes on gear. With that said, since you can respec passives and respec specialized skills, don’t be afraid to try out a hybrid build and see if you can make it viable. If it doesn’t work, you’re not locked into it!
So far of the ones I’ve played, Runemaster is my favorite followed by Bladedancer. Runemaster is probably the most unique take on a “spellcaster” class I’ve ever played in an ARPG.
Have you actually played it yet? The monolith system is pretty fun, and functions similarly to Path of Exile maps (without the atlas and past league mechanic customization).
