7 Cruise Ships Leaving Port at Fort Lauderdale (4K)

- Our cruise ship, the Holland America Eurodam, was sailing away from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, but amazingly 7 other cruise ships were leaving at around the same time as well. We saw the Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas right behind us, Carnival Conquest sailing away first, then the Regal Princess, Crown Princess, Celebrity Silhouette, Holland America Zuiderdam right next to it, and finally the Allure of the Seas. Kudos to the captains of the vessels and the port authority work /US Coast Guard for making all the sail aways go seemingly so smoothly, because several were sailing literally right behind another. There was a helicopter & coast guard boats to escort many of the cruise ships. This was a busy Sunday for sure.
There were some beautiful views of Port Everglades and its surroundings, and of Nova Southeastern University Oceanographic Center campus. We also heard the cruise ship horn of our ship as well. Enjoy!

What is the best cruise ship you have been on so far, or would like to go on?
We've been on 33 cruises thus far and only had one incident of food poisoning (knock on wood). I actually trust the cleanliness of the cruise ship kitchens & restaurants much more than the ones we go to on land. The buffet is usually the area that passengers can spread stuff to others, but we have never gotten sick at the buffet.

Oh, the staff were so friendly and kind! The ship did not even need to move or go anywhere and it would have still been fun - just to be around such kind & friendly staff.
There is NOTHING prettier watching than a CARNIVAL ship sailing away! 🤗

Crazy, I have sailed out of Everglades a couple of times and there are usually multiple ships in port but I have never seen them all leave so close together.

I always love going on Royal Caribbean big cruise ships! They have a great balance of good food and entertainment, and they have a lot of fun stuff to do on board.....not to mention how beautiful their ships are.🥰

Been on over 25 cruises, by far my favorite Celebrity. The Silhouette class ships are so elegant.

The best cruise ship I have been on so far was the Carnival Horizon. This was my second cruise. My first cruise was the sensation. Wow she needs a refurbished just like the elation. Looking forward to my next four for 2020 ( sunrise in January; breeze in March; vista in August and horizon in December).
Still love watching these ships leave ! Who ever thought this would end for awhile 🥴

@@TravelTouristVideos We can watch a number of ships leaving Sydney Harbour, we really miss going to a nearby harbour beach and walking the dog as Princess, P&O ( Australia) Celebrity,Royal Caribbean, Cunard, Carnival make their way out of the heads sailing to the pacific islands, New Zealand etc.
i have seen 8 ships on the same day leave port everglades in fort Lauderdale a fantastic view

That was all very exciting, wasn't it! I love cruise debarkation days. I hope all of you weren't going to the exact same port at first, though, such as Nassau. Somehow, it seems that Nassau can handle it, though, the last time I was there (during spring break), there were five cruise ships docked at Nassau. Seven must might be an overload, though!
Just about all the ships were going in different ports, though we did a pair of the ships on separate days in 2 of the ports we visited. But yeah you're right Nassau can hold about 5 ships. Appreciate you watching & commenting- thanks!

i was there working as a cook.and also i was on that ship for two time. and first time when i was on conquest the homport it was in galvestone texas ...
the cruise it was good but some time for us is boring....haha..

The best boat I’ve been on was the carnival breeze it was amazing I’m going on another boat soon and it’s part of the dream class to the boats name is the dream

Nice- have a great time on on the Magic! Favorite cruise line... to be honest- I like them all. Some are better with food, some better at entertainment, others best at service, etc.

We didn't see any Cunard ships here but they sure seem quite elegant.

I get carnival, just not DCL. DCL is so much better than all the other crappy, ugly, rude staffed, poorly trained bridge crew ships. You must only hate it because youve never been on one and youre stereotyping disney thinking theres a bunch of rude annoying and screaming kids. No there isnt. All children are actually really friendly and they are happy to be there so they arent crying or screaming..

love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have been on more then 40 cruises, also a shareholder in carnival corp. nice to see all of the carnival family there (princess carnival & HAL)! rccl and celebrity (both the same company) are also nice lines. but i prefer ccl since i am a shareholder, and the more passengers, the more profit, and then more dividends! ccl also has a great shareholder perk if you sail no any ccl line!
i mean to say great shareholder perk if you sail ON any ccl family ship!

@@TravelTouristVideos it all started by my grandmother buying me a book about the titanic and i meeting a titanic passenger, so the titanic got me into traveling by cruise ship, i really want to do a freighter cruise. nothing like being out on the ocean!

It was awesome for sure! I think the bad weather stuff is overblown- magnified by specific and fairly uncommon incidents that the media really make a big deal out of. We have been on over 25 cruises and there was only 1 that had pretty unpleasant weather for 2 nights.

I think they do for the most part. In Mexico I've even seen their coast guard/navy ships escort our the ships as well.

Annoying music. The best cruise I ever took was my first one. Transatlantic. Blissful, quiet days at sea with just 2 stops. That same year I went on over 8 cruises. All last minute deals. The only "bad" experiences were we couldn't stop in Turkey because of the political unrest, one time we missed one port in Greece because we had to stop in the Mediterranean Sea to help Syrian refugees stranded at sea ( that sure made me appreciate how fortunate we US citizens are), and coming back on another transatlantic we lost a day because we had to avoid a hurricane and a sick passenger had to be dropped off in the Bahamas. Almost missed getting on the ship in Rome because of a late train departure. Otherwise I had some experiences of a lifetime. I was very fortunate: no really bad weather, no outbreaks of viruses, and made it to Civativecchia( Rome port) by the help of the Italian port authority whose driver took us from the port entrance to the ship in record breaking, white knuckled, time.
Wow 8 in a year- that must have been so much fun! It's always great to be able to get last minute deals when the schedule can accommodate. Thanks for watching & sharing your experience cruising!

I understand business.If people did not like these ships the companies would not build them and they have to make a profit. but they are ugly compared to cruise ships of the past. I am sure the on board facilities are amazing and the passengers have a wonderful time, but most of them look like shoeboxes compared to Cruise ships of the past and the newer ones with the sky high decks do look like kennels at sea.
That is a fair assessment from the outside. The ships of the past certainly have a certain charm and elegance. I do think that most cruisers (including ourselves) do have a great time in general. If you get a chance definitely try it and see. Despite a cruise ship not looking the most attractive from the outside, IMO it's hard to beat the combination of the feeling that you're in the ocean, visiting different ports, eating nice meals, and having good service.
