  • The Birth Trauma Inquiry has called for a national plan to improve maternity care, after speaking to 1,300 women and finding “shockingly poor quality” in how care services look after women giving birth.
    Health Secretary Victoria Atkins has been unable to guarantee there will be no further scandals in maternity care after admitting the NHS is in a "period of transition".

    7 years later and I’m still recovering from the trauma I endured during my NHS birth. So much love to all the women who have had similar experiences ❤

      Labour under Blair started the decline. He let in the millions of immigrants, but didn't build any new hospitals to cope with the huge increase in population. The results were predictable.

      @@DavePocklingtonthe decline was already in full swing. Badly trained staff. Rude management. Incompetence. Before Blair. NHS always been bad.

    My sister finally fell pregnant after 20 years of trying , she has well known issues yet she went through 9 months of pregnancy without the additional checks she should of had. My sister went into labour on her due date and went into hospital in the morning, by lunchtime she kept telling them something was wrong but they put her on a ward, by 8pm she had flatlined twice and was then put in a birthing pool , she delivered her baby who sadly was still born , the cord was around babies neck . The care after was amazing and can't be faulted but her and her husband are to broken to ever have it investigated . 😢

      Lack of transparency, corruption, negligence, bottom barrel hiring, and budget caps are not heavily connected to party politics. These are features of a bloated bureaucracy that has no incentive to improve.

      So we should not have the NHS any more as simple as that, pay much less tax and go private instead!! I worked my whole life, paid tax in full, only needed NHS ONCE for childbirth and they nearly killed my baby, butchered and traumatised me!! If this was America, I wouldn't pay as much tax and go private instead! I will never use the NHS again and don't see their point anymore!

    • @MrConna6
      @MrConna6 Před 24 dny

      @ellaa.k.t6998 thats pretty dtupid thing to say though. The nhs is available to everyone which is immediately better for general welfare than privatised healthcare where people are completely priced out, and their are plenty of horrific stories from the us too, they have like no oversight

      @scratchy1704 Před 24 dny +3

      @MrConna6 Shouldn't be for the whole world.What about people who haven't put into the system. We cannot go abroad and get free treatment. We have to show proof of insurance or pay upfront,so no it's not stupid.Your comment is though.
