Many, many years ago, I worked for a lady who's brother sent her sassafras root which she kept in a pot of hot water all work day. We drank that tea. Loved it. That was 53 years ago. 😂
Unfortunately, I’m a single senior and, though I love the idea of using a freeze dryer, they’re too big and too expensive for me. Really disappointing.
This old man would love to have to have some of them freeze dryed Black Berry's.....Cause i have not had any
in 40 some years.......Thanks y'all so much 👍
Old Shoe🇺🇸
@@deborahcross3426if we lived close to one another we could do a time share! I’d love one just for the fun that Brooke and Jason have with theirs.
Question 🙋♀️ Jason: you’re calling the triplets and twins cousins. Aren’t they half siblings though?? I thought they had the same dad.
here is an idea - probably a dozen other people have already thought of it . . .
put a chicken flag on the farm fresh stand - with a note that says . . . lower the flag when the egg cooler is empty and we will replenish the supply 💜
may save everyone time and energy in the long run
Rondiferrin: What a great GREAT idea that is.
Good idea!
Great idea.
This idea will probably sell more eggs for you. You’ll never be guessing if you need to replenish.
Great idea to stand on the side-by-side to use the post basher
My father always preached to us kids that if you have a piece of machinery that is essential to your business. You need to keep at least one or two nuts or bolts that keep that machinery running. We always had a parts box with the nuts and bolts marked and for what piece of machinery it was needed for. It was his way of keeping us busy.
Agreed
Jason, you are probably the only man I have ever actually seen read the instructions before going ahead and using a new piece of equipment!
My brother would, but my husband doesn't unless something goes wrong.
Going to say the same thing!😊
My husband starts assembling and always has extra pasty’s. And I always say if l else fails, read the directions!
You two are the best husband and wife team I have ever known.❤
Awww thank you so much ❤️
100% agree - always a joy to watch
Agree. Warms my heart.
My 90 four-year-old aunt who has passed away in her younger years would make Jelly and concentrate for making jello.
I second that. Jason and Brooke, you all and K&S GETOUT are the very best. There is one other couple but I don't remember the name.
VERY REFRESHING and we love all of you
I love the way momma stands right there and oversees you feeding those babies..most mommas who couldn't raise their babies would abandon them... But she sticks right with them..❤
Fifi is a good Momma!
Yes, she is a good Monna! She is watching Brooke feed them and understands is the bottle didn’t fill them up, they would cry. She knows.
Thanks for having lunch with me today ❤. Can’t say that I could find a better lunch friend than the Cog Hill family 😊
I enjoy seeing the bond between Jason and Holly from day one.🥰🥰🥰
LOL, the way those kids suck up that milk so fast you could have named them Hoover, Kirby and Dyson! Bet they will bring the same enthusiasm to eating grain and treats! 😂
Holly is just in heaven on your farm. It must make her first owner so happy to see he living her best life.
I agree 100%
Root beer! Look at the leaves… some look like mittens! We have a lot popping up here too, New England.
😂😂😂😂
@@Tinkergrumpybuns I love the taste and smell of sassafrass.
Yes, Holly seems to be very happy and loves Jason a bunch.
I never get tired of watching you all interact with each other! Allow me to repeat myself once again….. I love your farm… your animals… your videos! 😊
I am glad you are keeping all the babies. They are so cute.
Peaches is so happy since you let her stay in with the goats, donkeys, and Mildred.
Huh?? She’s always been with them🤷♀️
As fast as you sell eggs, two ice cubes would last as long as the eggs! 🤣🤣🤣
Love today’s video! Y’all are moving on with the fencing. Little Holly is just the best sidekick in the world. All the blackberries weighing the trellis was incredible. Quite a harvest! Love to all!❤❤❤
Holly is just so beautiful. And with her Lambchop, we'll that's precious. You got a good dog in that one.❤❤❤❤
The two of you make my day so much better! Have a wonderful weekend and see you for coffee in the morning!
Yep, see you guys for our Saturday morning coffee time.
You have the best cutest side by side travel partner with Miss Holly.
Lamb chop is a crime scene 😂😂😂😂
She has a case of them. She gets a new one each week.😊
🤣
Holly is so cute, the way she sticks with you when working in the field. She will nap on the floor of the cart , rather than leave your company!.,❤❤❤
Can’t wait for the fence to be done and the animals moved. Gonna be great❤. AND a new cow or two❤❤❤. God’s blessings
Holly has the good life.. I adore Holly ❤❤❤ Your beep beep is sure a working horse for you.
I'll tell you, the first thing i do in the morning, even before my coffee, is watch my favorite couple. Have a great day, you guys!
Aww thank you sooo much ☺️
My grandmother showed me how to make Sassafras root Tea when I was a little girl. She had some Small Sassafras bushes or trees on her property. It was fun and like drinking a mild hot root beer .
Gram also had Rhubarb which she made into Rhubarb Pies and a sweet Rhubarb sauce like dessert which we ate with hot oven fresh buns .
Loved Grams cooking.
Scalloped Corn , Date filled
Cookies , baked apples with sausages .
Gram had been a School Teacher in a 2 room school house in the rural town. She also was a farmer.
Watching Cog Hill brings back memories of Gram and the wonderful times we shared and family history she shared.
Love watching your farm life Grow.
NAMASTE. CARPE DIEM.❤
Always loved when Mom got bark from our little grocery! Love sassafras tea, need to get some!
Jason and Brooke just want to tell you how much I love your videos both videos. U2 are made in heaven. God bless you both. ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing! A man who actually reads directions‼️‼️‼️ well done Jason.
Love you guys. Your kindness, humor, love of animals, and industry are exceptional. Also, I love all the animals, but Holly is #1 for me because of her devotion to you, Jason. Just a glimpse of her in a video makes me happy.
I've been watching ya'll for going on 5 yrs and it never gets old , could watch all day long!
Much much love from Ks ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your support❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
And from NC
Brooke reminds me of my superstitious grandma. You never mentioned bad things that might happen or they would surely come true. Brooke is the eternal optimist and Jason always anticipates the worst. Perfect pair! Great job with that fencing and poles!💕🤗💕
I love your videos so much that I just hate it when they end!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend. ~ Mrs. C. 🌺🌻🌹🌻🌷🌻
GOOD MORNING COG HILL FARM AND SUBSCRIBERS. ❤YOU AND BROOKE LAUGHING WITH EACH OTHER
Glad the cooler is working out so well. I can't believe I'm the only one that's curious to see how the money box is doing. Best to all.
Jason and Brooke you are some awesome folks. Thank you again for sharing your time with me 💕🙏🏻💝🐝
I love the way you two work so well together. Can’t wait until Moody can get out in his new area. I know he’ll love it.
Seein' Jason w/that manual fence post hole digger I'm remembering how many post holes my Dad dug w/one. Years later he was able to buy an auger, thank the Lord!
You guys work harder than any UTubers i watch!!💜🙏💜
"Boss Hogg" is supervising the chain grazing gang...
Holly is so sweet! Funny to watch her carrying around her 'Raggedy Lamb Chop'! Love her!
Holly girl is the most beautiful & best buddy on your farm‼️ I love her “Lambchop” toy. She is so cute carrying it around as her favorite toy! 🩷🩷🩷
Oh my goodness, goat treats. How perfect. I swear, your videos just keep getting better and better. I can't tell you how much I adore you all as well as your beautiful animals. OXOXO to you and your family and animals ❣️
Good morning Jason and Brooke thank you for the Beautiful Smiles. You and Brooke ar Hole Champions and a Gold Medal T Posts Driver Team. That T Driver seems to be very quiet. Those freeze dried Raspberries look like a Delicious Anytime Treat. The Fruit Garden is going to be a Fruit Market for you and Brooke. 🤩👍👍👍
I Believe You Two Can Accomplish Anything, Great Friday Video!
Got to say I enjoy y’all so much…. 😍😍😍
Love Hollie supervising from the side by side! 😂😂
Keep them straight girl! 😊
Y’all are the sweetest couple! 🥰
I am so happy you have found something to make your work easier, God is right there with you both, because you both are working just to hard and don’t get enough rest. Makes me so happy I want to cry happy tears. God bless, now set down for a spell. Love you.
"Freeze dried goat treats," said Jason! Love that! Have a wonderful weekend ya'll ❤
Good morning squad that smell is Rootbeer that you are smelling , that is what rootbeer is made from.
I believe that root beer is now synthetic and not made from sassafrass any more. When I was a child (I am almost 86 now) we made sassafrass tea from the bark on the roots.
A sassafras Cog Hill Farm candle would be great.
I would buy that!
I'm proud of Loretta sharing that canteloupe with a duck. Great job with your new post pounder!
Good Morning Cog Family & Squad! Have a blessed day ❤
Good morning and same to you ❤️
Good morning 🌄
When my dog was younger, his toys wouldn’t last, but may be 24 hours 48 if I was lucky. Now at 14 years old he has a ton of toys but yet he only plays with like 4. He has more energy at 14 years than I do at 60 years.
So happy to have the farm that love built in my life 🥰
AMEN!!
Good afternoon guy’s hope everything is going well with you all today ❤
You should put your mailbox up there with a flag and when the egg got some in it put flag up and when it doesn't put it down lol ❤
a Flag is a great idea, one that can be attached to the side of the stand, so when the last carton of eggs is taken then that person can drop the flag down. That way yall know ya need more eggs in the stand!
Maybe a free standing sign that says eggs available on one side and sold out on the other?
Yes the flag idea is great 👍
That is a wonderful idea!
Didn't mean to say opened. Meant if they just stopped...silly autocorrect.
Broke look tired now to so go sit down and relax..you deserve it!
Holly looked tired! I think that's the stilling I've ever seen her in all of the videos.
I meant to say Brooke..
Good morning Cog Hill and PINK !! Any day is a good day to see one of our favorite kitties. Now we are ready for Caturday ❤ y’all be safe and y’all be good 🥰
Holly has be blessed by you taking her, but she is a sure blessing to you and your fans. Love that Holly.
Hate that the screw sheared off but LOVE how you explain it and show it to us. We learn SO MUCH from y'all!!
Jason would you plant some flowers called “Indian blanket” Or see if they would grow in your area? They are beautiful and I think the bees would love them. Just an idea.
There are a couple of different flowers that people call “Indian Blanket” in my area of the south. One is actually a gallardia and they love heat and are an extremely drought tolerant perennial that blooms all summer. The other is a spring perennial that only blooms while the weather is cool and it looks more lupine-like in shape, I don’t know the botanical name of the second but some folks call it “Indian Paintbrush”
Just another wonderful Cog Hill Farm video. You two and all the critters of CHF put a smile on my face like no other! Thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure!❤️
You are two of the hardest workers. You work so well together. Glad you are able to to get your t posts in easier. Before you know it you will have your fencing done. Love seeing how the farm has changed.
Thank you so much!😊 ❤️😊
❤watching the video ❤
Hello Jason & Brooke
Have a blessed day
I am so happy you decided you are keeping all the babies. They are so adorable.
Good morning Jason and Brooke. Now that the auger bolt broke and you had to "search" for that new one, the next time your in town, and in a hardware store, grab a few of those bolts to keep in the barn (keep them in a ziploc bag so you can see them and use marker to identify that's the main reason to be used for).
Brooke, you holding up ok. Your working awfully hard!
FYI… I am so jealous of all of your beautiful Blackberries…. Yummmmm!!!
When you said that you gave Holly her Lambchop 5 days ago, I gasped! I had been about to tell you that you need to buy Holly a new Lambchop! Holly goes through Lambchops faster than a little boy goes through the knees in his new jeans! Blackberry ice cream would be delicious!
Red enjoys his milk and wants to take his time and taste it.
I was so disappointed this morning. I got out of bed at 6:30. Waited and waited for your live. lol I thought it was Saturday. So happy when I found this post!
Glad that you got the post driver and you got the fence post in the ground 😀 The freeze dryer is a wonder in it's self. God bless the family 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I’m so happy that you’re growing for the best. Love your new babies so happy you’re getting to keep them. Take care and stay strong. God bless

I’m so glad you got the Tpost driver! Those blackberries look delicious ❤. Go rest beautiful people, you deserve it.
The two of you and the Cog Hill Farm animals make my day. What a wonderful team! I'm glad the ice chest is working for your eggs. The blackberries looked good. Love you all
Love you all ❤
Love my Coghill mornings !!
I remember drinking sassafras tea in my childhood. My sister's godparents had a farm in Kentucky.y dad was stationed at Fort Knox and we would go visit on the weekends. I learned to pick tobacco, drive a tractor, slop the hogs, and gather chicken eggs. I would pull cobs of dried corn from the caged silos and give it to the horses. We would go to the back barns of the farm to see the hundreds of white turkeys they raised for the market. Those birds were loud! Great memories.
Your stories are wonderful, tell us more. 🕊
My daughter lives in Washington state and her property is covered with wild blackberries. When I go there I'm out in the yard eating blackberries half the day.
You 2 work so well together. Never hear arguments only encouragement
Yes, that's so awesome. You are keeping all the babies❤❤❤
I love Igloo coolers! I've never had one fail me!
Brooke got those mad skills from feeding 3 babies at once! Gooo Brooke!
You both take such good care of your animals ❤
Love the relationship /friendship and love Jason and Brooke have.
Those black berries looked so good ❤ 😊
We own a fencing company here in Illinois. Back in February, he went to a fence contractor's convention in Nashville, TN. And while there, he bought that very same Titan post driver! Because, like you, he pounded those posts silly! Now it's made life a little bit easier. He's in his 60's!
Ooh you made my mouth water so much!!! You two are sure hard workers, specially on the fence. God bless ❤️🙏
Holly said it was hard work riding with Mom and watching Dad. ❤️
Thanks so much for the wonderful visit today! Always enjoy your vids. God bless you and your whole farm! Happy days! 👏☀️😄🥰🤗🙏
I LOVE how Jason tells Peaches or which ever animal is there what's going on! You two are living the life I wanted but unfortunatly couldn't manage. Love your channel. TY
You are such a great team together. You accomplished so much.❤❤
Morning yall from South East Texas ( Jasper) 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 my favorite channel ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! And hope you have the most wonderful Friday
Hi guys, I love it when the goats wag their tails. It reminds me of a puppy. Great you got all the holes dug now it is just a matter of time before you finish the fence.
They got it ALL done But Pulling the wire. Know they where wore out!!
I am glad all of the babies are staying!!!
